Sophie Baines, Dorn's second at the trial of Wombosi, is kidnapped. Her driver is killed. New evidence she had dug up is challenged. Only she knows where the evidence came from. Dorn's investigative team has been disbanded. He puts together a new team to find Sophie.

New leads suggest Wombosi is not behind the murder and kidnapping. Rather the person who gave Sophie the evidence is the real target of a much more complex plot.

The team is called to handle a kidnap in progress and expected ransom negotiation of a group of students in boarding school at Lusanne.

An Italian judge known for taking a hard line against the Five Families is shot and killed while on his regular (exercise) run outside his ocean view home.

A killer who escaped justice on a technicality has moved close to the Hague and started killing people. Marco who investigated the original case is incensed, but then the case takes a strange turn when the killer is murdered.

A stabbing on a holiday island isn't usually important except for the victim. But when that victim's already dying from a lethal haemorrhagic fever it's very important indeed.

Branik Tiso, trafficker of young women, is high on Dorn's "Most Wanted" list but his real identity is unknown.

A journalist reaches out to Dorn with an important discovery, but adversaries ensure that her story never sees the light of day. Team investigators follow up her story of international importance which holds thousands of lives at stake.

A retired assassin is after the leader of a right wing Romanian party and it is personal for her. Marco makes a little bit of progress in the search for his kidnapped sister.
