Dennis Spurling is having issues attending a psychologist and dealing with the social stigmas that come with it. The family attend a breast cancer run to support Stephanie.

Stephanie comes to one of Dennis' music video shoots and is rubbed the wrong way. Dennis buys Stephanie a huge diamond ring. Stephanie goes to the psychologist and vents some of her frustrations with Dennis' actions.

Dennis takes the boys on a vacation to the Dominican Republic to show his kids how other people live that look like them. The trio go to a slave museum which ends up opening his kids eyes to the history of slavery in Latin America.

Stephanie decides to start dating again. Dennis takes a DNA test revealing that he is the father. Dennis and the Boys give Stephanie a Diamond ring, she is shocked and confused.

Dennis starts looking at buying property in the black community. Stephanie's friends are very confused by Dennis giving her a diamond ring and think that he is playing with her feelings.

The family all go to a local black community meeting regarding issues in the black community from farming to how to deal with family issues.

Dennis has a meeting with Stephanie letting her know that he wants to have equal time with the Boys, Stephanie feels Dennis is trying to take the Boys away from her.
