One fine day, Vasily finds himself chained to a mined toilet, and from that moment on, life in the Zadovs' apartment changes dramatically.

The English ambassador, Nina's lover, leaves her an expensive ring as a token of loyalty - the key to the nuclear briefcase under the British Queen's bed. After some time, he returns for it, but the ring disappeared without a trace.

General Siska arrives at the military unit with a check. Chosen as a scapegoat, Vasily concocts that the poverty and plundering of the unit are in fact a cover for the development of a secret weapon, the invisible helmet invented by him.

A loser soldier named "Lucky" barely gets into the Zadov family when a lot of problems fall on him.

Lyonya, finding himself free from his parents (the hospitalized Stepan, and Lucya who left for Estonia), arranges his personal life and, with the help of his neighbor Taras Pastushenko, tries to choose one of the three girls he likes.
