Billy and Billie meet again after a few years at a renewal of marriage vows and sleep together. We learn they knew each other in high school, but little else. They don't want their friends to know what they did.

Billy and Billie put their relationship on hold due to them almost being caught. Billy does fine, but Billie has a harder time.

Billy and Denise are back together again. Despite their break-up, Billie is jealous and angry. She causes a loud scene at the diner when they meet.

Billy and Billie visit their parents in upstate New York for Halloween.

Billy wants to tell people they are in a relationship. The meeting Billy arranged for Billie at Chisel magazine starts poorly due to miscommunication about the time. Tom is crashing at Billy's place until he finds a new apartment.

Billie wants Billy to tell his friends at Chisel they are together. Billy is unsure of how to handle that. Picking up lunch at a diner, Billie runs into her step father. Because it is out of the way for him, she suspects something is going on.

Candice finds her daughter and Billy in bed together and freaks out. Keith has told everyone at work. Billie does not come in Monday, but for Billy who did, the reaction is neither nonchalant nor good.

Billy's co-workers don't want him around and neither does Billie. Lonely, Billy starts to spend time with September, the flirtatious diner waitress.

Billie rebounds with vain TV actor, Bradley.

Unresolved feelings, secrets and outright lies are hard to keep quiet as Billy and Billie gather for the family Thanksgiving.
