Theo and Leona don pig snouts for another reading of "Pigs Aplenty, Pigs Galore". Halfway through this episode, Lionel dons three pig snouts as he reads to Leona the "Three Little Pigs".

In the first story, a little boy's persistence in watering and caring for his plant is rewarded. In the second, the emperor of China chooses his successor by apparently testing the gardening talents of his youngest subjects--while really making a test of their integrity.

The cubs revisit two cautionary tales from classic mythology: first that of Icarus and his flight too close to the sun, then that of Pandora and her box of misfortunes.

The "stars" of previous episodes are to receive edible treats at the library's own awards show, but as all the honorees appear to be absent, master of ceremonies Lionel is happy to accept the awards in their stead.

Farm animals from two different storybooks have a lot to teach Lionel and Leona about the power of writing and the value of frequently assisting other people for either chores or emergencies.

In the first story, the parents of a young donkey are distressed when he doesn't return home. In the second, a mother on a business trip calls her son to tell him how much she misses him.

Today's story features a taste for cheese leading a red fox to perform a sneaky deception on a crow. The other story is based on the African folktale where a mouse is prey to a lion.

The story of the little boy awed by his "cool" classmate Earl is reviewed in the first segment. In the second story, a six-year-old looks back at his remarkable personal growth and maturation over the previous year.

In today's first story, two men argue over a hat. In today's second story, a man designs anything else out of his old overcoat until there is nothing remaining for him.
