A murder investigation was launched when the body of a man was found hanging upside down in a horse box on a beach. Gina is determined to find the murderer, but the fact that Sam has just been released from prison complicates things.

When another body is found, police suspect they are looking for a serial killer. The dead men have been linked to a historical rape case. Sam tries to get on with his next life but his mother's attempts at reconciliation prevent him.

The murderer kills again and the death has a devastating effect on Sam and Gina. The police are monitoring the men's cell phones. The murderer makes a mistake.

The police encounter a new suspect, Wynn Edwards and new evidence leads to a horrific revelation. Police are preparing to protect Duncan and Richie after another murder but Duncan makes an unwise choice.
