While Gauravi is an educated girl from a middle-class family, Anuj is a rich but simple Gujarati businessman who struggles with his English. A miracle occurs when life brings the two together amidst a heavy downpour.

Shreya spends quality time with Aniket. Anuj praises Gauravi for returning his umbrella. Rishi ignores Gauravi when she asks for his signature on the necklace delivery receipt. Her manager threatens to fire her over the missing necklace.

Gauravi is fired for the missing necklace, but Anuj intervenes and forces Rishi to account for it. She is stunned on learning that Anuj is the owner of Mehta Diamonds. Later, Anuj and his mother reach Gauravi's house.

Anuj and his mother visit Gauravi's house with a marriage proposal for Aniket. But Aniket rejects the proposal. Sakshi throws a tantrum, forcing Gauravi to step in. Later, Anuj's mother comes up with another proposal to solve the logjam.

Anuj and Gauravi's families try to convince them to tie the knot. But Gaurav's family is her priority. Anuj calls up Gauravi and fixes a meeting. Gauravi concludes that they both have nothing in common, and therefore should not marry.

Anuj invites Gauravi and her family for the Family Day celebrations party organized by Mehta Diamonds. At the party, Rishi insults Gauravi and her family. A furious Anuj rebukes Rishi. Later, Anuj proposes marriage to Gauravi.

Anuj and Gauravi agree to get married to each other. Rishi vehemently protests the marriage. Shreya-Aniket's and Gauravi-Anuj's Roka ceremony begins. Gauravi refuses special treatment at work and Anuj agrees to buy a less expensive ring.

Shreya's and Gauravi's mehendi ceremony begins. Gauravi is shocked to meet the woman Anuj once loved. Anuj and Gauravi perform garba during their sangeet ceremony. Rishi swears to make life hell for Gauravi post their marriage.

Gauravi weds Anuj and Shreya weds Aniket in a combined wedding ceremony. Rishi is clearly unhappy with the wedding but still attends the celebration. Anuj and Gauravi spend a hilarious awkward first night in their presidential suite.

Gauravi encourages Anuj to give an important business presentation, but Anuj fails. He gets upset that Gauravi is trying to change him into something he can never be. Shreya faces trouble settling with Aniket and his family.

Gauravi decides not to interfere in Anuj's life. But Zeenia and Sidharth insist they sort out their issues. Anuj comes clean about Falguni and requests Gauravi to teach him English. Meanwhile, Aniket tries to cheer up an upset Shreya.

Anuj disappears without informing Gauravi. His family is unaware of his whereabouts. But she tracks him down and is shocked to learn his secret. Meanwhile, Aniket loses his job and gets into an argument with Shreya.

Gauravi convinces Anuj to celebrate his birthday with family and friends. Anuj feels grateful towards Gauravi for making him feel special. Anuj also returns the favor by doing something for Asmi.

When Anuj meets with an accident, Gauravi and others rush to the hospital. Anuj and Gauravi realize their feelings for each other and confess the same. Shreya and Aniket argue over moving out. She gets upset and leaves for Dubai.

The issues between Shreya and Aniket create strains between both families. Shreya makes some serious accusations against Aniket. When Anuj chooses to stand by his sister, Gauravi also supports her brother.

Gauravi is stunned when Anuj supports Rishi for rebuking her for contacting Shreya. Zeenia tries to reason with Anuj. Based on the severity of the situation, Gauravi takes a drastic decision, which stuns Anuj.

Gauravi is shocked to see Asmi as a show stopper for the fashion show. She faces a wardrobe malfunction forcing Anuj to question Rishi on his intentions. He makes it clear that the well-being of Gauravi's family is of utmost importance.

As Anuj prepares to address a press conference, his mother suffers a mild heart attack. But Gauravi decides to not tell Anuj about the same. Instead, she encourages him to face the media with complete confidence.

Anuj's mother asks him to bring Gauravi back home. Anuj is surprised by Shreya's return and he informs Gauravi about the same. Mehta's new restaurant catches a massive fire, and the police come to arrest Anuj.

Gauravi learns about Anuj's arrest and reaches the police station. Rishi flees the country with Shreya and blames Anuj for everything, leaving Anuj shocked. Anuj learns about Gauravi's drastic step to save him and vows to save her.
