Sixteen Australians travel blindfolded on a bus to Whaler's Way, where host Lincoln Howes divides them into two tribes based on the colour of their blindfolds, uses the toss of a coin to decide which tribe gets to choose where they camp, and directs them to maps that give them directions to the camps where they have to build shelters and spend the next thirty-nine days surviving each other.

The rugged coastline reveals its playful side. An accident at the Tipara camp could mean an early end for one survivor. Kadina realise that tribe harmony is hard to sustain.

Harsh conditions get tempers simmering. The axe starts to fall on some tribe friendships.

There's a sting in the tail for Tipara's sweet plans. Kadina's very survival becomes critical, but for some, life isn't all that bad.

The rugged conditions take an even more sinister turn and have everyone counting the costs, yet the survivors have to face their biggest physical challenge so far, and some just don't seem to have what it takes.

An unexpected twist in tribe rivalry adds to the pressure of simply surviving. The tribes' warriors face off at the beach.

Tribal relationships are tested as two tribes become one. It may be clean for some, but the mud-slinging is about to begin.

Pot stirring in Aurora upsets the dominant Tipara clan. Craig and Naomi's fight for survival begins a new phase in alliance building. Old friendships count for nothing in a new tribe.

Katie's relationship with the tribe is sorely tested. Secret alliances begin to bubble to the surface. Craig's epic quest for immunity reaches its third round.

The results of Craig's pot stirring bubble to the surface. Joel becomes the object of everyone's attention. The old Tipara tribemates must now turn on one another for the A$500,000 prize.

Alliances finally start to unravel. Emotions once again bubble over. A freak wave almost ends one competitor's bid to be the Ultimate Survivor.

After voting Jane off, Rob and Sciona are exposed. Joel has the power to turn the game around.
