After moving into a new apartment, David accidentally pours chemicals into his cat's water bowl, causing the cat to gain the ability to speak.

David and Harold meet their downstairs neighbor, Mason, who is rich but chooses to live a poor lifestyle.

Abbey tries to get to know David and Harold; Harold worries about the rent.

Harold tries to keep the apartment somewhat decent, but David refuses to clean his room.

David and Harold sleep over at Mason's when their apartment gets robbed; Abbey has trouble sleeping in different places; Mason worries that David and Harold will destroy his apartment.

The water in David and Harold's apartment building stops working. David and Harold start getting more and more desperate for water.
