Robert attempts to get his life back on track until his ex-wife, Neesee, is forced to move in with him after her apartment burns down.

Robert and Dirk excitedly prepare to appear in their new talk show. With both Neesee and Bobby living with him full time, Robert is getting no rest or relaxation.

Robert realizes that he is making excuses to avoid being hurt in a relationship again.

Neesee and Robert each try dating sites. They go to the same site and have a romantic chat with each other from two different rooms of the house without knowing it.

When Robert and Neesee realize that their constant arguing is affecting Bobby, Jr., Neesee suggests they attend couples therapy.

Bobby returns home from his first day at a new school and says he wants to be white. Neesee calls Congresswoman Maxine Waters to complain about racism in the school.

When Robert installs a hidden nanny camera to check on the baby-sitter, he discovers that Neesee has resumed her smoking habit.

Robert is surprised to learn Neesee is dating her business lawyer, especially when he finds out that Neesee knows Peyton is married.

Neesee is still coming to terms with Peyton's announcement that he's married; and Dirk and Jonelle consider having a child.

As a favor to Neesee, Robert lets her friend, Gwen stay in his house while she's in town. Robert has always disliked Gwen then discovers that he is now attractive to him.

As Robert, Neesee and Bobby excitedly prepare for their first Christmas together, they are surprised by Neesee's estranged brother, Vonte, who is on parole from jail.

Neesee reluctantly agrees to visit Robert's Aunt Telly in the hospital and pretend to still be married to Robert so the old woman won't be upset.

Robert's sister, Carmen, visits. But Dirk immediately likes Carmen and later, Neesee witnesses Carmen kissing another man and sets out to warn Dirk.

Dirk's therapist girlfriend observes that Robert and Neesee act as if they're still in love the exspouses have awkward experiences--that make them wonder if she's right.

When Neesee borrows Robert's assistant, Kenny, to help her around the house, a war starts between the exes, who divide their belongings and household duties.

Robert rethinks the partnership between him and Neesee and makes a decision.

Robert takes Bobby to his first day in a karate class, Robert immediately becomes enamored with the cute instructor, but doesn't realize Bobby is also smitten by her.

Sad because Bobby is growing up and bonding more with his father, Neesee goes on a fishing trip with Bobby.

Neesee hosts a birthday party for Bobby, but it goes wrong when Bobby innocently utters a very offensive word. Neesee and Robert must explain to him about his heritage.

After a disturbing visit to the doctor's office that makes him feel old, Robert tries to rediscover his youth by buying a motorcycle and dating a college girl.

Robert meets the father of his young girlfriend and finds out that Bobby got hurt while playing on Robert's new motorcycle.

Robert reflects on his wedding day with Neesee and the big fight that ended their marriage.
