"The North Border" - 22-year-old Fritiof Enbom works as an railway ex-changer at SJ in Boden, when the German Engelbrecht division passes en route to the front towards the Soviet.

"In the shadow of the atomic bomb" - The years 1948-1951. It is the beginning of the Cold War. Fritiof Enbom is now a journalist at the newspaper Norrskensflammans local editorial office in Boden. He becomes acquainted with a talkative driver at a regiment. The driver informs Enbom of sensitive and secret matters, that Enbom delivers to his contact in Stockholm.

1952 - the highlight of the Cold War. Enbom tells a spectacular story about his ongoings to a friend. This leads all the way up to to the Defense Minister Torsten Nilsson. The Enbom affair is being disclosed. The police starts ab interrogation. The media cover the story. Lots of untrue statements and straight out lies are published. Six defendants are sentenced to severe punishment against their denial.
