It's a superheroic showdown in the Synchro Dimension pitting Super Gong against his arch-nemesis, Dennis the Destroyer!

A mysterious and shady man named Gallager appeared before Gongenzaka and Dennis.

Dennis deployed his Pendulum Summon in his Duel against Shun. Detecting that Summon, Roget, the Director of the Security, decided to keep an eye on them. On the other hand, Reira was depressed since Reiji is not with him. Yuya wants to make Reira smile, but a slight difference in their opinions caused some hostility between Crow and Yuya.

Yuya learns the ins and outs of The Facility the hard way by coming face-to-face with the toughest and most dangerous duelist in the cell block: the Kingpin!

Yuya continues his duel with Chojiro, who is able to maintain a lead despite his drawing being limited. Crow recounts how Chojiro fell from being a beloved celebrity and Yuya resolves to bring that Chojiro back.

As Yugo and Yuzu enter the Friendship Cup, Yuya and the others, along with Chojiro, plan to escape from the prison. Their moment arrives when a tournament is held at the prison and they set their plan into motion.

Yuya and co almost managed to escape before the police caught up with them. They fight back as hard as they can only to be completely overwhelmed. Suddenly, a shocking ally comes to their rescue.

Forced into participating in the Friendship Cup, Yuya decides to play along in the hopes of winning over the Synchro Dimension. The opening ceremony begins as Yuya ends up facing the king of the city, Jack Atlas.

As the Friendship Cup approaches, Yuya laments how his dueling style is failing to win people over and reconsiders his path. Then, a reaction occurs between his, Yuto's and Yugo's dragons.

The first match of the Friendship Cup is between Synchro users Crow and Gongenzaka. Superheavy Samurais and Blackwings collide, but Crow is concerned about his kids and cannot concentrate.

Yuya is worried about Gongenzaka disappearing after his duel but cannot get any answers. Reira is chosen to duel against Shinji but is too terrified to fight. Yuya questions how Reiji can keep sending his brother into dangerous situations.

Tsukikage takes Reira's place in the proceedings and faces off against Shinji. Tsukikage uses burn tactics to whittle away at Shinji, but Shinji fights back with his Bee Force deck.

The next match of the Friendship Cup pits Yuzu against Chojiro. Yuya does not want to see either of them lose, but they resolve to put on a good show regardless.

Serena wins the final match of the day as everyone rests from a long day. Reiji meets with Jack, who recounts how he rose to become King. Elsewhere, Roget schemes in the shadows.

Yuya faces off against Duel Chaser 227, who has been given a second chance by Roget. Yuya desperately tries to tell people about the Cup's dark secret, but they fall on death ears as 227 continues his attack.

The next duel between Yugo and Sawatari begins. Sawatari puts on a brave act about how he'll slay Yugo's powerful monster while Yuya feels a resonation when Clear Wing Synchro Dragon appears.

In the garbage facility, Sawatari meets up with Gallagher, who tells him about Sergey, a warrior who works for Roget as well as Roget's mysterious past. Reira comes to an epiphany learning this information.

The first round comes to a close as Shun faces off against Dennis. Dennis continues to play up his showmanship, but Shun is determined to expose him for the fraud that he is using his Raid Raptors.

Dennis finally drops the facade and unleashes his powerful Fusion monster against Shun. Dennis gloats about capturing Ruri, but that only stokes the anger inside of Shun to breaking point.

Dennis escapes and tries to avoid capture while Roget sets his plan to take over the city into action. To make things worse, Leo sends out his forces, including Yuri, to recover Yuzu and Serena.

Yuzu faces off against Sergey to kick off the first round. Weirdly, Sergey does little to fight back as Yuzu is able to deal heavy damage. But at the most vital point, Sergey's demeanor changes.

Yuya duels against Shinji next. Yuya cannot concentrate on the match due to worrying about Yuzu while Shinji is empowered by the cries of his fellow Commons to continue his revolution.

With Sora's encouraging words, Yuya gets his head in the game and starts playing seriously. Shinji refuses to back down as Yuya begins a gambit to prove there are no useless cards.

Yuya meets up with Sora, who confirms that Yuzu is fine and that he is here to capture Serena. Yuya tries to convince Sora to leave Academia, but then Security surrounds the two.

Crow and Shun face off in the next match of the tournament, each being spurred on by their different goals. Meanwhile, Sora continues to avoid Security and Roget tries to coax Yuya to his side.

The battle between Crow and Shun continues. After saving one of Crow's kids, the two find some common ground. Giving it all they have, the two bird users fight to the finish.

Sora appears to help Yuzu when she is surrounded by Security. Yuzu wants to help Yuya, but Sora stops that since they are caught up in a bigger war. Tsukikage then appears to get revenge on Sora.

The duel between Yugo and Serena begins. Yugo is initially distracted by Serena's resemblance to Rin, made worse by Roget manipulating the odds so that Serena will win and further his goals.

The duel between Yugo, linked with Yuya, and Serena continues. Serena starts avoiding Roget's tricks so she can fight her own way. Yugo and Yuya meet Serena's challenge and unleash a new power.

Yugo pursues Yuri while Roget sends Security to capture Serena. She is saved by the combined efforts of Reiji and Reira, forcing Roget to change his plan of attack.

The match between Yuya and Crow begins. Yuya is able to convince Crow to work with him and they begin to enact their plan. However, Roget activates his cerebral restrictor, causing something unexpected to happen.

Yuya has gone into a fit of rage following Roget's plan, beginning a relentless attack against Crow. The Obelisk Force arrive in the city, forcing all parties to reconsider their actions.

The Obelisk Force begin their invasion of the Synchro Dimension to capture Serena and Yuzu. The Lancers so their best to oppose the invaders when some unexpected allies arrive to help.

Yuya shows up to help Reira when they are confronted by Barrett. Tsukikage helps everyone in the underground facility fight back against the Obelisk Force, inspiring Shinji to continue his revolution.

Yuya is having a tough time against Barrett's trap combo. Sora and Yuzu appear to help, but so do the currently dueling Yugo and Yuri. With all four dragons on the field, they begin to resonate once more.

Yuya begins to resonate with his three counterparts when Yuzu manages to save him. However, Sergey then arrives to capture Yuzu and mounts an attack against Barrett and Yuya.

Yuya and the others form a plan to save Yuzu. To completely take over the city, Roget arranges a duel between Jack and Sergey. Sergey aims to crush the king as Shinji's revolution continues.

Sergey continues his Earthbound Prisoner and Action Card combo to damage Jack. Jack refuses to give up and matches with a fierce counterattack, causing something to change in Sergey.

With his plan in shambles, Roget declares martial law and attempts to strong-arm the City under his control. As the rest of the Lancers confront Security, Yuya goes to the Duel Palace to finish things with Jack.

Roget's forces and the Lancers continue to fight as Yuya and Jack commence their final duel. Yuya prepares to activate Smile World, but Jack declares that Yuya should follow his own path and not the one forced upon him.

Sora and Tsukikage manage to stop the oncoming Duel Chasers as Yuya and Jack continue to fight. Unleashing his power, Yuya summons Nirvana High Paladin and matches Jack's powerful Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend.

The duel between Yuya and Jack finally comes to its conclusion. As the High Council prepares to unite the City and assist the Lancers in their fight against Academia, Roget commences his final gambit.

Declan takes on Roget on one final duel in order to defeat him and free the people of the city from his control.
