When the custody suit goes to court, George and Katherine find that the judge is a childhood friend of Uncle Phillip's. When Phillip asks them if he can take care of Webster for the weekend, they agree. Webster's remark that his uncle is "not his everyday family" prompts Phillip to change his plans regarding their weekend together.

Philip takes Webster to Atlanta to see where his father and uncle grew up, but the police bring them back to Chicago, where an agreement that decides Webster's fate is reached.

Webster helps an old man do his magic tricks again.

Webster misinterprets George and Katherine's explanation of the intimate moment he witnessed, then Webster and his girl friend get caught about to play together in their birthday suits.

After the family safely escapes a fire in their apartment, Web rushes back in to save some cherished mementos.

Katherine and Web won't be talked out of renting an old Victorian house with hidden passageways and secrets.

After ten years of inactivity, George gets a change to practice his favorite sport again.

Webster meets his new grandparents when George's father and Katherine's mother visit for Thanksgiving, but the reunion between Katherine and her mother is not a happy one.

Webster's faith is shaken by a pastor's remark that God took his parents away.

Webster is promoted to a class for gifted students, but he gets a failing grade when he lists the first US President as the one who first served under the Constitutional Congress, and not George Washington.

George takes Webster to one of his broadcasts; while on the air he reveals a secret about Katherine that no one else, not even George, knew about.

When Web's favorite diner is targeted as a parking lot, Katherine tries to have it declared as a landmark.

Uncle Philip buys Webster a dog without asking George and Katherine.

The Parkers' estranged daughter, Maggie, and her son, return to try and reconcile.

Papa Papadopolis decides to move back to the US for good, but his spirits are crushed when he has trouble finding work.

Web overhears a substitute teacher's improper advances toward a student and worries about his own upcoming meeting.

Webster writes a letter to Diahann Carroll, who is in town taping a TV special, hoping to get her to perform for his school benefit. Two of his friends decide to write a fake response.

Katherine finds out she is pregnant.

In spite of her doubts, Katherine decides to go through with the pregnancy, but she suffers a miscarriage.

Webster throws something on the table away without realizing it was actually a sculpture.

While George and Bill argue over a board game, Webster gets into a fight with his best friend.

When Katherine starts taking classes and becomes enthused with her professor, she starts spending less and less time at home, making George jealous and Webster concerned.

George threatens to move out when Bill goes too far in teasing him after a fall caused when he left a large tool on the stairs. When Katherine and Cassie start to argue after discussing the situation-and after Cassie's Wandering Jew dies from not being watered-Jerry is forced to intervene to resolve the feud between the Parkers and the Papadopolises.

After being denied entry onto an amusement park ride for being under 42 inches, Webster becomes depressed about his height and worries that he will never grow taller.

During a massive snowstorm, Webster gets trapped in a secret passage in the house.

As they are still reminiscing from past shows, they realize that they haven't seen Webster around the house and they start to get worried, not knowing that he is still in the secret room.
