25yr old Moriyama Mikuri has a fear of job hunting from failing to find a job after graduating. Dejected her Father contact 35yr old Hiramasa, a work colleague who recently fired his housekeeper for not meeting his requirement. With Mikuri inheriting her mothers diligent housekeeping skills, her father apply her for the Housekeeping job. Hiramasa impressed by her professionalism hires her who finds it fulfilling, taking pride in her work and the appreciation from her employer. But suddenly her retired father wants to move the family from Tokyo to the remote ...

The sham of a marriage has almost turned real what with family, relatives and nosy co-workers. The man has to do what he can to defend his position and the woman has to play along Things come to something of a head when friends are stranded with no trains running and stay overnight. There s only one bed and the 'couple' is thinking of a way to keep the performance up.

With the couple maintaining the facade a few accommodations need to be made. However, the couple need a rice cooker first and so she sets out to shop for one. In the meantime, the 'in-laws' are sending a present to the other side, a friend walks with the woman and helps carry the rice cooker and the man is feeling bouts of jealousy. Could things be coming to a head?

The arrangement is in peril when a co-worker figures out the sham following a series of behavioural oddities and slips of the tongue. The concept of sharing comes up and a colleague takes advantage of the situation and ensnares himself a maid. Otherwise, what seems to one side, unrequited love persists and creates distance and resentment.

The couple's unique relationship is still creating questions in their acquaintances' minds. Her aunt, in particular, is becoming concerned and is lead to believe things have gone astray when she witnesses, what she believes, is her niece in a compromising situation. The couple decide to step up the facade of their marriage through unconventional means such as - hugging.

The duo receives a gift and it is nothing other than a certificate for a couple's retreat at a traditional inn. Things become interesting when presents from well-meaning friends and relatives exacerbate the awkward situation chief among them the inexperience of the virginal man. What could go wrong with a man and a woman in a double bed? How about the presence of an old boyfriend?

Things become awkward in the aftermath of a spontaneous kiss. The lack of experience and confidence immediately shows. The attempts at communication are rebuffed and every step forward seems to come with a step backward. Things get so bad that eating together is avoided and the man and the woman communicate via texting from either side of a door. Ice wine helps break the - ice though.

The woman has fled to her parents' house to avoid the discomfort and embarrassment of co-habitation with a weak man. Her parents are feuding at the same time and she has returned the gift her aunt gave her as she cannot bear to keep it. What is the big fuss? A 'cardinal mistake' has been committed.

Someone gets asked out on a date and someone catches her beloved out and about with another woman. The woman is cute and long-haired, which is cause for jealousy. A robot provides some comfort. Feminism rears its head at work when Yuri goes to bat for her team's concept and company's creative.

The sham couple take more concrete steps to make their relationship close and series. This, however, perhaps not unexpectedly leads to some embarrassment and delays. In the meantime, work is becoming stressful. Two couples go on respective dates and run into each other. An area business-owners' association meets.

With the marriage proposal gone awry the woman joins the man ind doing her own calculations. This becomes a proposal from her to him. In the meantime, Yuri is promote an celebrates with a rink at the bar. The bartender invited an acquaintance to join them. It is becoming quite complicate, but will the couple get married? There are two couples to whom this question applies.
