Sara has separated, she returns Rome with her children to her parents' home, Emma and Ettore. There she meets her siblings: Giulia, a career woman, the feckless Carlo and the eldest, Alessandro, worried about the health of his son Max.

Alessandro and Cristina get an appointment for their son Max with a prestigious specialist, who will diagnose him with Asperger's syndrome.

When Max is expelled from his school, his parents are forced to find him a new specialized center. Carlo and Robel spend a day together, taking another step in their complicated father-son relationship.

Although Carlo continues to hide Robel's existence from his girlfriend, he continues to strengthen his relationship with his son. Although Federica hides from her parents that she has a boyfriend.

Alessandro worries about Federica's relationship with her boyfriend and tries hard to make Max progress. Carlo confesses to his girlfriend that he already has a son.

Ambra is attracted to her teacher, but he confesses to Sara that he really likes her and asks her out on a date. Sara is hesitant at first, but finally accepts.

Alessandro's stress due to the constant demands of family and work lead him to suffer a panic attack. Sara continues her relationship with Nardini, so they must confess to Ambra that they are dating.

Giulia worries that Matilde may be Asperger, Ambra decides to elope with her boyfriend and Robel's parents strengthen their relationship. Ettore is ruined

Cristina is offered a temporary job. Caring for their son, Carlo and Feven continue to grow closer romantically.

When Ettore is forced by his sons and daughters to confess to Emma that he is in debt, she asks him to leave home.
