A strange wooden structure was found protruding out of a beach, an urgent effort is made to save the monument from destruction by the sea. Archeologist must battle both atrocious conditions and negative feelings from locals as they work to move the object to safety. In the end everyone is deeply touched by the the structure and events surrounding its discovery.

The Time Team review what we know about King Arthur, both as legend and reality. They explore the possible even more ancient history of the legend, including a remarkable reinterpretation of the drawing the sword from the stone.

After a farmer rediscovers an Iron Age mound. The team investigate to try to work out what it was for.

A special return report on the axcavations on the 'lost' medieval cathedral in Coventry. The Time Team had previously broadcast on their own excavations in the programme broadcast as part of the general series on 13 February 2000 (Series 7, episode 7).

As the site is redeveloped, a demolition team remove existing buildings, for the archaeologists to discover Roman artifacts in the 9 months allocated. In pit one they discover a Roman well and water lifting mechanism. Previously archaeologists only got to 70% of re-developments, now by law they have to investigate all re-developments as part of the re-development. Dendrodating says the well was built using trees felled between AD 61-3, only 20 years after the Romans invaded Britain.

Colossus was one of Nelsons ships at Trafalgar, not long after the battle she sank in English waters. The Time Team join with other archaeologists to explore the wreck site and gain information of the giant statue found near the shipwreck.

For over a year the Time Team followed the final phase of the 10 million pound conservation project undertaken by the National Trust on this beautiful Medieval Moated Manor House in Kent. Tony, Mick, Phil and the Team tracked the work in progress, observing traditional skills as well as high tech solutions being applied to secure the future of this 1330's house.

The Dorset regiment landed on Gold beach, a 5 mile wide zone. The team dig the battalion's initial objectives to see if the intelligence gathered before was accurate.

A well furnished burial chamber is found at Prittlewell. A lyre is found, recreated and played. Gold crosses on the body suggest north Italian Christian. It is not until the end that the buried king is named.

Dorchester street in London's East End was a thriving community until the coming of the Blitz. Today all that is left is a park and aging memories of the time London went to war. The Time decide to uncover the history of the street, using excavations and eyewitness accounts.

Augustus Pugin is renowned for his work glamorising the interiors of the Palace of Westminster, But although he died in 1852 at the age of only 40, there was much more to this prolific and and influential architect's CV. Tony Robinson tours the UK to explore Pugin's work and legacy, and follows the Landmark Trust as it sets out to restore Pugin's near-derelict family home, The Grange, in Ramsgate.

Doubt is cast on the location of one of the most pivotal battles in English history, the battle of Bosworth Field. Tony follows researchers as they conduct a series of tests recreating cannon fire from the time to try and confirm their suspicion.

In 1916 a frightening new weapon is unleashed on the Germans by British forces. The Livens Flame projector was a terror weapon of amazing ability, yet no examples exist today. Members of the Time Team join an archeology team excavating remains of such a machine and then build a replica to test the weapons true potential

It was always thought Boudica's tribe was wiped out after a major uprising against Roman rule in Britain. Recent discoveries have begun to tell a different story and they may not have been the barbaric warriors of the Romans described.

The final ship that Brunel built was the SS Great Eastern. An all metal ship with only a propeller. The UK Royal Navy did not change to all metal for many years due to metal hulls producing shrapnel.

The Time Team visit the site of Shakespeare's "Newplace" which was always assumed to be his home based on an 18th Century drawing. They quickly realize the dig is a lot more complex with a strong suggestion what was Shakespeare's house was in fact something completely different.

Tony and the team make their way to the Lake District on an expedition that takes them both higher and deeper than they've ever been before. They are looking for a forgotten piece of the nation's industrial heritage - the Lake District used to be a major source of valuable copper.

Time Team investigate Oakham Castle in the tiny county of Rutland. It's Britain's best preserved 12th-century building but its grounds are full of mysterious lumps and bumps crying out to be investigated.

As the last glaciers retreated, a tsunami hit the N E coast. A sandy layer was deposited all along the N E Coast of Britain. A variety of experts have been investigating this event. Tony joins all their research together.

The current building is Victorian but the site of Lincoln jail has been in use for many centuries. Some of the team peel back the layers of use to show the development of the penal system in Britain.
