Army buddies reunite with their sergeant Harry and introduce him to stewardess Rose. Gopher poses as Julie's lover to fend off his former frat brother Rick. Gwen fears Dennis won't react well to her pregnancy news.

Brian bails on fiancée Emily. An engaged couple's parents try to stop the marriage. Contest promoter Larry takes a bribe and wife Sheila files for divorce. Gopher resents judging a contest. Tom and Mary want to wed, but there's a problem.

Vicki (Jill Whelan) develops a strong attachment to Mrs. Evans (Debbie Reynolds) and sees her as a surrogate mother; Mr. McMann (Ted Knight) is due to be married but can't say the words, "I do"; Emily's (Charlene Tilton) estranged fiancé (Lloyd Alan) comes back; Doc (Bernie Kopell) sends Gopher (Fred Grandy) on a wild goose chase to get him away from the judges (Dawn Wells and Ann Jillian) and he ends up in jail.

Air Force Major Ross Latham (Robert Culp), his passive wife Nara (Nobu McCarthy) and an aggressive old girlfriend (Jo Ann Pflug) are on the cruise, at the same time. Two brothers (Al Corley and Mark Pinter) share the honeymoon suite. Texas oil magnate Mason Fleers (Dale Robertson) takes the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders aboard to impress several of his clients, including Mideastern Prince Hasssan (Pat Harrington Jr.), who thinks that one of the cheerleaders is a permanent gift for him.

Maud claims Julie is trying to steal her fiance Roger. Passengers receiving free passage must find Mallory's nephew. Janet Mallory tires of her husband's poor treatment and takes up with Adam. Peter is being pursued by mysterious Sharon.

Gopher and the passengers continue to look for Brian Mallory's nephew, while being shadowed by a mysterious stranger; Merrill ponders a job offer from a friend.

A famous movie star (Loni Anderson) disguises herself as her own secretary, in order to enjoy some privacy; but, as the secretary, she finds love with a fellow passenger (Charles Frank). Julie (Lauren Tewes) contemplates marrying a wealthy bachelor (Robert Stack), who is entering the Acapulco Steeplechase. Isaac (Ted Lange) and Gopher (Fred Grandy) sneak a horse on board to enter the upcoming race. Horse owner Paul Willis (Allen Ludden) neglects to tell his wife (Betty White) the real reason for their cruise, and feeling neglected, she seek company with another passenger (David Doyle); The Village People also have a horse entered in the steeplechase.

Parents play Cupid for their kids Brett and Cathy, who are tired of it. Single mom Cynthia seeks a single guy, but will only date someone whom her baby likes. Isaac asks the crew to praise Aunt Tanya's awful acting, but the plan backfires.

Psychiatrist Elliott keeps his distance when kleptomaniac Mary falls for him. Vicki is disappointed by TV action star Steve Swaggart. Merrill's brother Marshall introduces his fiancee Natalie but old flame Annette wants him back.

Merrill's neglected friend Monica turns to Merrill. Donna Dayton wears a wedding ring to keep guys from hitting on her, then meets Scott Hanson. Scientist Martin Fallow thinks Elinor Green is an alien and Gopher overreacts.

Stowaway Scott tells the crew that playboy Jeff is his father. Gopher and Isaac have mishaps with a parrot that Merrill buys Vicki. Father and son singers Rich and Bob Braddock, who haven't spoken for years, resist efforts to reunite them.

Carl and Violet's anniversary goes sour after her financial news. Sally tries to get her husband Hank's attention by claiming that Doc hit on her. Charlie doubts that his girlfriend Heather's travel partner Rudy is really her brother.

Thinking she will die young, Harriet Rogers seeks a new mate for husband Harold. Isaac fears running into his high school teacher Mrs. Williams. A seal is jealous when her trainer Oscar Tilton and passenger Karen Hughes get acquainted.

Judge Atkinson trails polygamist Harrison Harper, who has multiple wives. Vicki resents Merrill's attention to passenger Linda Bradley. Expectant husband Art Talmadge worries about wife Betty, even though their baby isn't due for months.

A young woman falls in love without knowing that her health is in danger. April becomes a nanny to TV sportscaster Ty Younger's kids. A loan shark sends one of his men to collect a debt, but complications arise.

Gopher worries about meeting his pen pal Nicole, at first. Ned, married to workaholic Margo meets widow Kay, who's willing to take his wife's place. Helen evicts her handsome cabin mate Jack, who is desperate to find a room.

Adam's medical school chum Charlie Wilson asks him to look after his wife Sandy. Plain-looking Casper Martin is actually a great lover. Priscilla Hensley either has a twin or a secret past.

Isaac courts a talent scout with his singing skills. A former All-American football player has a romance with Julie. Glenn Dobson's wife forces him to take the cruise in order to help him conquer his fear of water.

Charo returns as April Lopez. Television sportscaster Ty Younger (Larry Linville) and his new fiancée, Lisa Michelle (Arlene Martel), can't leave his children Gayle and Jerry (Rachel Jacobs and Alex Woodard) and their "ninny" April (Charo) behind, when they set sail. A college football player (Vincent Van Patten) develops a crush on his friend's (Philip Brown) mother (Samantha Eggar). Gopher's college friend (Michael Lembeck) tries to be one thing for his boss (Ralph Bellamy) and another for the boss' daughter (Laurette Spang), all the while not realizing they are father and daughter.

A man (Dick Martin), in the middle of a divorce and traveling with his mistress, is convinced his wife is spying on him; a blind woman (Leslie Uggams) fends off a would-be suitor; a nudist sunbather (Barbi Benton) causes problems for the crew, especially Gopher (Fred Grandy).

Government agent Gray trails Isaac's shady Uncle, who may be involved in crime. Crewmember John likes passenger Suzy, steals another passenger's clothes, and pretends to be rich. Adam's ex-neighbor Mike causes Adam to doubt his future.

Julie's (Lauren Tewes) friend (Juliet Mills) sails with her fiancé (Gary Conway) only to discover her other fiancé (Pedro Armendáriz Jr.) is also on board, as well, and has to spend the trip juggling them both; a man (Eddie Mekka), traveling with his elderly mother (Sylvia Sidney), has trouble re-connecting with a childhood friend (Joan Prather), whom his mother does not approve of; Gopher (Fred Grandy)'s personal nemesis (Joanna Pettet), a difficult customs inspector, comes aboard and makes his life even more difficult, although she may have some redeeming qualities.

A woman (Linda Cristal), tired of her fiancé (Alejandro Rey)'s wandering eye, makes time with Dr. Bricker (Bernie Kopell); two men (Dack Rambo and Ken Kercheval), who constantly compete against each other, vie for Julie (Lauren Tewes)'s attention; Capt. Stubing's (Gavin MacLeod) Aunt Hilly (Olivia de Havilland) comes aboard for a visit and decides the ship isn't the proper place for a young lady like Vicki (Jill Whelan).

Captain Stubing's (Gavin MacLeod) friend (Gene Barry) is a gambler, who becomes a bad influence on Vicki (Jill Whelan); a man (Charles Siebert), who lost a lot of weight, and his fiancée (Vicki Lawrence) come aboard; old-time members of a gang (Jesse White, Kaye Ballard and Jack Gilford) reunite to rob the ship's vault.

On a special cruise to Acapulco for a fashion festival, designers Geoffrey Beene, Halston, Bob Mackie and Gloria Vanderbilt play themselves. First of two parts. Paris: Robert Vaughn. Priscilla: Anne Baxter.

Gopher's (Fred Grandy) aunt (Jane Powell), who Gopher doesn't know is a maid, comes aboard with her employer (Mary Wickes) and falls in love with a fellow passenger (Howard Keel); a playboy (Joe Namath) uses an old girlfriend (Karen Grassle) in a scheme on his best friend (Fred Willard); a baby boy is reluctantly abandoned by his father (Gary Burghoff), who is a ship's mechanic, and finds a sympathetic listener in a passenger (Belinda Montgomery), who is an old high school friend.

Julie (Lauren Tewes) has a run-in with a zoologist (Anthony Andrews), who turns out to be a passenger, and they butt heads. A young actress (Alison Arngrim) comes aboard and makes a fool out of Vicki (Jill Whelan). An estranged husband (William Christopher) and wife (Toni Tennille), one of whom is a neat-freak (Christopher) and the other a slob (Tennille), find themselves not only on the ship but in the same cabin.
