Yoshihiko begins his journey, but almost immediately gets into trouble.

Yoshihiko's group are hired to escort girls to be sacrificed to a mountain god.

Yoshihiko's group are hired to defeat a cave monster who keeps destroying farmers' fields.

Yoshihiko's group must acquire an Angel's Robe, but the Angel doesn't want to give it up even after they do things for her.

Yoshihiko's group must acquire the Shoes of Invisibility, which is in a village where people must be funny or be jailed.

Yoshihiko's group must acquire the Demon's Helm, but get waylaid by an angry husband, an amorous nurse who got cursed with chastity, and the sorcerer who put the curse on her.

Yoshihiko's group must acquire the Dragon Shield, which is owned by a landlord. The landlord will give them the Shield if they go and collect rent from his tenants.

Yoshihiko's group visits the Drama Shrine to learn new powers, but Yoshihiko ends up a teen idol. And then the angry husband returns.

Yoshihiko's group must acquire the Ring of Life from a village of fairies, but the Ring got stolen by a Devil priest and they have to fight his army off.

Yoshihiko's group must acquire a flying carpet, but its owner refuses to give it to them unless they make her an exotic gourmet dish. So they need to go on another quest to acquire the ingredients for this dish.

Yoshihiko's group have finally made it to the Demon King's castle town - modern Japan, where every building is a candidate for a castle.

To defeat the Demon King, Yohsihiko's group must find Yoshihiko's predecessor, who wields a magic sword that he had previously used against the Demon King.
