A man comes in with serious injuries after a car accident and the team does everything to save his life. A boy has life-threatening poisoning symptoms and the question is from what. Malin is struggling to get free from her addiction.

An unidentified man has been hit by a tram and has severe head injuries. Julia takes it upon herself to tell him that he has been sentenced for life. Carina has tired of Rebecka's accusations and investigate if Göran's death was natural.

A world famous pianist comes in with a severed thumb but there is no hand surgeon available. Malin finally gets to return to work and realizes that it might be more difficult than she thought.

Malin is faced with a difficult dilemma when an old classmate comes in with an autistic patient while she has to deal with her new cohabitation with bonus children. Iris gets an unpleasant surprise when Paul shows up at the hospital.

A Muslim man is operated on for internal bleeding, but when his partner and the rest of the family cannot get along, problems arise. Julia is happy in her new relationship while Iris realizes that Paul may reveal her secret.

Malin and Jonas get a shock when the new emergency doctor is introduced. A bus carrying a girls' soccer team gets into a traffic accident and the hospital is put into disaster mode.

Someone has left an infant outside the hospital and the staff is trying to find out why it ended up there. At the same time, one of the employees is admitted as a patient. Malin gets an unwanted guest and Max has to make a mature decision.

The hospital has to quarantine some of the employees after they come into contact with a feverish patient who was abroad. Julia begins to doubt Max and she also has a hard time at home.

Holmström's world is falling apart. Malin begins to suspect that Sandra is not as skilled a doctor as she claims. Iris gets an unpleasant surprise and Julia thinks she has found a way to solve her problems with Max.

A boy who has had cancer receives sad news that his mother has a hard time dealing with. Tess is angry at Holmström, who surgically removed her silicone insert. Carina gets a shock when a relative comes in as a patient.
