Reviews

Brian Lowry
Variety
Hanging around too long turned out to be the show's kreative Kryptonite, in other words, which was more than evident from the bloated, confusing, mess of a two-hour finale.

Forget the superhero derring-do of Clark Kent and Lois Lane and think instead of saccharine melodrama and soft-focus teen romance, for that's what the adventures of the young Superman have been reduced to in this 10th and final season of Smallville.

Smallville's much-ballyhooed double-length finale turns out to be a sodden mess that mostly points up how off-balance the show became.
