After Mumford and Davenport have left to go on an extended tour of stately homes, extra ghosts are needed to help Mr. Claypole with new business project "Rentananny". Hazel The McWitch and Tamara Novek seem like ideal replacements..

After being transported into the street wearing just a towel in the previous episode, Mr. Meaker is in bed with a cold. His attempts to get better are hindered by Ethel's voice breaking glass and the Perkins hiring a private detective.

Adam Painting hires the ghosts to help out with two urgent jobs - repairing his car and working in his new roller disco.

The ghosts are working in Adam Painting's new boutique, while the Meakers try to resolve their differences with the neighbours.

Mr. Claypole and McWitch engage in a forceful rivalry to see who can make the best potion. Meanwhile, the Perkins have finally had enough and decide to move - but can they really get away from the Meakers?
