Reviews

Glen Weldon
NPR
The new series brings less acid humor and a lot more heart than the original, and while its fumbling attempts to address America's political and racial divides can seem cringingly naive, it's a dependable source of pop-culture comfort food.

Sophie McBain

The dark underside to the Fab Five's affirming messages about confidence and self-acceptance are that everything bad that happens to you is your fault.

Daniel D'Addario
Chicago Tribune
There's a bit of combativeness that makes the show vastly more interesting than standard reality fare.
