While on vacation in the Alola region, Ash and Pikachu discover and enroll in the island Pokémon school.

Ash and Pikachu are adjusting to life in the Alola region--and it's about to give them a powerful push in a new direction.

Professor Kukui gives Ash an intelligent Rotom Pokédex that is capable of human speech. Ash goes to find and catch his first Pokémon in Alola, but he instead encounters Team Rocket, who are aided by a wild Mimikyu that despises Pikachu.

Ash is on the verge of catching his first Pokémon, until Team Rocket swoops in to ruin the day.

Ash's Pokémon class is off to the sea for some fishing, but Team Rocket has a completely different kind of fishing in mind.

Ash decides to watch Kukui's house for him. He starts making lunch, but since he's not very good at cooking, he ends up wasting all the ingredients and has no choice but to head to the nearby shopping mall. There, he runs into his classmate Sophocles and the Roly-Poly Pokémon Togedemaru. But suddenly, the shopping mall experiences a blackout and everyone ends up separated from their Pokémon.

After an unusual wild litten steals Ash's sandwich, he intends on catching the Pokémon.

Lillie has a Pokémon Egg to care for until it hatches, but will fear get in her way?

Raticate and Rattata are laying waste to the island's fields. Ash then meets Hala, the Kahuna of Melemele Island. Ash tells Hala he will be attempting the Island Trial. However, Hala then asks him a question and tells him he can only attempt the Island Trial after answering it. Ash is initially unsure what to answer, but manages to find the answer to Hala's question thanks to his classmates' help. And then he's finally given a trial by Hala.

Ash is ready to do the grand trial against Melemele Island Kahuna Hala. Will Pikachu and Rowlet beat Hala's Pokemon?

Ash spent the day and night at Kiawe's farm where they learn a lot from each other and fall in love.

While our heroes enjoy a class on the beach, familiar and unfamiliar troubles are brewing behind the scenes.

Ash's classmate, Mallow, tells him about a race where Pokémon work with Pokémon Trainers to carry Pancakes to the goal. He gets really interested in the challenge, and decides to participate together with Pikachu.

The egg has hatched into an Alolan Vulpix immediately followed by Samson Oak's egg hatching into a Kanto Vulpix. Everyone suggests that Lillie looks after the Alolan Vulpix nicknamed Snowy and despite her fear catches it.

Ash and Professor Kukui find the wild Rockruff who lives with them limping home, covered in scratches and burns, completely exhausted. The next night, they follow it to Clawmark Hill, where two Lycanroc keep watch over the wild Pokémon who come together to battle and train. Rockruff battles a fearsome Magmar but is defeated, and Ash offers to help it learn a new move, Rock Throw. After some serious training with Ash and Pikachu, Rockruff returns to challenge Magmar to a rematch-and this time, it wins! After seeing how well Ash and Rockruff work together, Professor ...

After practicing with Lana, Popplio has learned how to make a balloon that's big and sturdy enough to carry a Pokémon. In a series of mishaps, Rowlet and Popplio end up together inside the balloon-which gets swept away! They're trying to find their way home when they run into the wild Litten, who agrees to help. Soon, all three of them are trapped in a Team Rocket net, and Meowth wants to recruit Litten to join the gang! With some clever acting, Litten frees the others and sends Team Rocket blasting off just as our heroes are reunited. Ash tries to thank the skittish ...

Professor Kukui and Rotom Dex are big fans of the TV show Alolan Detective Laki, and Rotom even has a blond wig so it can pretend to be the star. When Ash's Electrium Z goes missing, Rotom excitedly takes the case! Through video replay, Rotom tracks the Z-Crystal's last known whereabouts to the schoolyard, where Ash and Kiawe were training. Rotom suspects Kiawe ended up with the crystal, but Lillie has another explanation: the video shows Ash putting it in his pocket. Ash remembers that he put the crystal on his nightstand before going to bed-and Pikachu triumphantly ...

Our heroes are hungry indeed, but a quest to find the missing ingredient is keeping them that way.

Tapu Koko returns to challenge Ash to another battle to test his Z-Move.

Ash reluctantly tags along with Lana, Lillie, and Mallow at the mall. One store's owner points him toward Treasure Island, a gorgeous place full of wild Pokémon, and offers to lend him her kayak. Soon, he and Pikachu are on their way! After a great day of exploring, swimming, and meeting new Pokémon, they discover a Wimpod stuck in some rocks. Ash tries to scale the cliff to rescue it, but just gets all scraped up until Pikachu recruits an Alolan Exeggutor to give him a lift. After stealing his groceries again, the wild Litten comes to Ash for help when its friend Stoutland starts to have trouble breathing. Ash struggles to get it to the Pokémon Center...but Stoutland is old, and there's not much Nurse Joy can do. Ash watches over Litten as it mourns for its dear friend, and even Meowth offers a compassionate ear. In time, a beautiful rainbow helps revive the joyful memories, and Litten begins to feel better. Ash and Kiawe are training with Litten on the beach as Pikachu and Rockruff play with a mysterious shovel that seems to be moving around on its own-until it rises out of the sand to reveal a dangerous Sandygast! When Rockruff attacks it, the shovel is launched into the sea, and the furious Sandygast evolves into Palossand and traps Ash and Litten inside! Ash and friends are attending a concert by the wildly popular group Dug-Leo, made up of DJ Leo and his partner, a talented Alolan Dugtrio. Everyone wears blonde wigs in Dugtrio's honor, including Rotom Dex-until its wig is carried off after the show by another fan of the band, an Alolan Diglett! As the band rehearses for their next concert, Dugtrio's three heads start fighting over who gets to be lead singer-and Team Rocket swoops in, posing as a talent agency to lure Dugtrio away! It's the Open House day at the Pokémon School, and a surprising group of people has gathered for all the fun.

Team Rocket come across with Team Skull when they fight over a rare crystal. Meanwhile, Ash and his friends learn more about the Z-Crystals and Z-Moves.

Sophocles ends up hearing that his parents are seeking advice about moving. Moving means he'll have to part ways with everyone at the Pokémon School. This makes him thoroughly depressed. Meanwhile, Ash and the others hear that he's moving and decide to throw him a farewell party.

When Lillie's big brother Gladion arrives on Melemele Island, everyone is excited about the powerful new Trainer in town-particularly Ash, who really wants to battle him! After hearing about Ash's Z-Ring and his battles against Tapu Koko, Gladion agrees to meet up the next morning. The battle is just getting started, with Ash's Rockruff against Gladion's impressive Lycanroc, when Team Rocket swoops in. It's the season for our heroes' favorite pastime: Pokémon Base! Professor Kukui has arranged a special lesson for them, complete with a guest coach: Oluolu, the star player of the Magikarp team that just won the Pro League season. After the students' game, Team Rocket shows up to demand a Pokémon Base battle-with the winning team getting the star's autograph. An unusual assignment at the Pokémon School gives our heroes a surprising opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun at the same time.

Kahuna Olivia is leading the class on a field trip to Akala Island, and everyone is excited! Before they leave, Olivia demonstrates her knack with Pokémon by calming an angry Tauros and bonding with just about everyone, including Ash's standoffish Litten. On the boat to Akala, Ash and Olivia discover a Wailmer, trapped in the rocks by an angry Bruxish! Everyone works together to drive Bruxish off and get Wailmer free, and when it starts to sink, Popplio comes to the rescue, floating it up to the surface in an impressive balloon. Today at the Akala Island, for Pokémon School, Ash and his friends are going to ride on the Ride Pokémon Stoutland to find some treasure.

Our heroes are busy with extracurricular activities on Akala Island, and Ash and Lana are in for a great adventure.

Our heroes attend the Wela Fire Festival, where Fire-type Pokémon line up to receive the Wela Crown, said to convey the power of the volcano itself! Just as Ash's Litten steps up, a feisty Alolan Marowak steals the crown from Olivia and runs off. Kiawe goes after it, but Turtonator is no match for Marowak's speed! Ash offers to help Kiawe train against a quicker foe, and they come up with a strategy: Shell Smash, a risky move that drops Turtonator's defenses but makes it stronger and faster. Ash and his classmates are in for an extracurricular lesson where they'll be trying to make Akala Curry. On their way, they run into both a Fomantis and Diglett group. How easy will this task be?

With the Grassium Z in hand, Ash finally begins his trial battle with Olivia for his next Z-Crystal while being watched by Tapu Lele. Ash pits Rowlet and Rockruff against Olivia and her Probopass and Lycanroc.

Following the grand trial, Ash's Rockruff has gone off and disappeared. It has headed off to the Ruins of Life. While the heroes try to search it down, a Pokémon - the Guardian Deity of Akala Island - appears.

Today, with the objective of capturing Pikachu, Team Rocket and Ash face off in a battle. With the loss in the battle, Jessie and Mimikyu get separated from the others.

It's a challenging day for Mallow and her family restaurant, and emotions are running high.

Lana and Popplio are working hard to master their Z-Move, but their progress is soon to grow by leaps and bounds.

With their friends at the Pokémon School, the Battery Pokémon, Charjabug's energy is usable for Ash to participate in a car race. But with a teammate, Sophocles, his Charjabug is not quite that fast with its energy.

A celebratory Pokémon School class trip turns out to be a reunion no one will ever forget.

Still in Kanto, the group heads to Cerulean City to teach the Alola group about Pokémon Gyms. Having had his last match at Cerulean Gym interrupted, Ash is eager to have a proper match as demonstration, and Kiawe also wants to battle. As such, battles soon begin of Ash VS Misty and Kiawe VS Brock, but when they start to use their Z-Moves, Brock and Misty pull out their trump cards: Mega Evolution.
