Iman Vellani stars as Kamala Khan, an Avengers superfan and dedicated fangirl of Carol Danvers – better known as Captain Marvel. Kamala struggles to find her place in society until she gains incredible shape-shifting superpowers. With her new abilities, she becomes the superhero known as Ms. Marvel. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) miniseries was created by Bisha K. Ali. It is inspired by the Marvel comic book character of the same name, who was created by Sana Amanat, Stephen Wacker, G. Willow Wilson, Durian Alphona and Jamie McKelvie. Kamala Khan a.k.a. Ms. Marvel made it into the history books by becoming the first Muslim character to headline her own comic book.
