After an attack on one of the girls, Vera calls for a strike at Le Paradis. Rose evades a trap set for her. Hortense's control of the business is challenged.

Hortense's hated brother Pierre Gaillac ends the strike by taking control of Le Paradis. The calm is shattered when Vera recognises her lover's jewel around Angele's neck. Rose is having difficulty adjusting to her new life.
