A normal mother of a family Maude enters a remand center for women where she will share a cell with two inmates. The linchpin of the crime of which she is accused stays in a coma while Maude refuses to testify.How does this relate to the recent death of her son? An unruly young delinquent Leïla will have to make her own best decision while her difficulties with sleep maintenance prevent Maude's attempt. Isabelle receives a visit that jolts the love situation of the brilliant researcher. A novice jail official Pauline carries out her covert mission.

Kevin Foret having died of his wounds, Maude is now accused of murder. Leïla is pregnant. She could benefit from a temporary release but only if she provides information about Driss, her boyfriend, who is sought by the police. Isabelle is due to be transferred soon.

Leïla continues to refuse to help the police catch Driss. Despite her condition she is sent to a disciplinary cell. The pathologist discovers that Kevin died from an overdose and not because of the accident. Isabelle sells her engagement ring and turns the page of her former life.
