When a stripper called Lita is strangled, Homicide detectives search for the last person known to have seen her alive - a mysterious Mr. Smith. Another stripper, Trudy Wheeler, helps police with their investigation.

An elderly man is murdered in his wheelchair and his wife, fearful for her own safety , asks their former nurse, Maggie Keating, for advice. Maggie, in turn, contacts her boyfriend, Det. Sgt. Mackay, for assistance.
