Police detective Dylan Carter, Kat's ex, arrives from the city to investigate Charloye's shooting after her corpse is dragged from near the peer, and Kat's service gun, the murder weapon. People speculate and worry, many with motives. Fiancé Nate is left in the dark by Ricky about Darryl being life, which she can' forgive Ash keeping secret. Kyle learns and is furious at Ash and Phoebe.

Josh suddenly regains her eye sight and positive nature, making up immediately with Evie. Kyle is furious at Ash for keeping Darryl's survival secret and dead-set to find his brother. Finally told that his fiancee's baby's father lives, Nate doubts if his engagement with Ricky stands a chance and cancels their plans, motivating her to demand Kyle's help to get closure from her grimly blamed ex. Detective Carter uses Kat's local knowledge to tackle the suspects list, to which she adds ex-con Ash, whose explanation that Charlotte set up Billie isn't convincing the cops....

Josh learns that Andi kissed Evie, scolds both, accepts it wasn't meaningful but decides to leave town. Hunter returns, learns about Charlotte's death and is questioned by detective Carter, with fellow suspect Zac helping his son cover up. John finds Skye at home, lightly wounded.

Shallow couple Matt and Maddy have spent the whole week having sex, and now decide to move in together after dating for a few days, which Maddy justifies by implying she really wanted him the whole time she was with Oscar. Oscar is still trying to be the better person and gets some words of wisdom when he strikes up a sweet friendship with Skye. Clingy Olivia is convinced she's somehow important to Hunter, especially when she catches him crying about Charlotte. Caring John invites Skye to stay with him but she is surprised at the house by psychotic mother Carol.

Maddy finds that sharing a caravan with boyfriend of five minutes Matt isn't a lot of fun at all and is soon complaining about how they need a proper flat. Caring Oscar comes to Skye's rescue and allows her to finally stand up to her deranged mother. John sweetly invites the mistreated girl to stay on permanently. Similarly mistreated Billie is facing jail and wants to run. Phoebe manages to tip off kindly brother Ash who tries to convince her to stay and fight.

After Charlotte's funeral, Hunter learns that Andy knows the truth and considers the suggestion to get Billie off the hook by blaming his late mother. Ash and Phoebe prevented her to run away, prepare for her trial by wild potential last free night and decide to work on rebuilding their relationship. After confiding his arson into Olivia, who leans to Andy's idea, Hunter attends the trial and makes a decision.

After Hunter's arson confession in court, Billie is released and stops Ash from attacking Hunter, with Phoebe, who gets physical with Ash again, yet claims the trust problem remains fully. Half overhearing Zac's conversation with Zac, Hunter believes even his father lost trust and moves out. Olivia finds him and pushes Irene to take him in, which she accepts with Zac's blessing. Detective inspector Dylan Carter now questions Hunter as matricide suspect, but DNA evidence leads to a surprise arrest.

Andy is desperate to prevent Josh leaving town and comes up with a offer. John seeks to console Chris after his break-up with Hannah. Dylan Carter arrests Irene as prime suspect for Charlotte's murder due to DNA evidence, yet she assures her house mates not to worry.

Nate tries to play peacemaker between Chris and Hannah, but still upset Chris ends up telling him to stay out of it. John worries that Skye isn't dealing with recent events with her mother so kindly Oscar offers to accompany his new friend to visit her. A deluded Maddy plans a future with immature boyfriend Matt in the Diner flat; they lose out to foster mother Roo, who then invites them to live with her again. With all the teens accepted at the local uni, Josh plans to celebrate with some friends but Kyle and Ricky ask him to babysit Casey. Randy classmate Louisa ...

Josh being distracted by his flirt put baby Casey in trouble, so Rickie blames the knave, but Nate rather himself. Skye is shocked when John takes her to visit mother Carol in the city psych ward. Darryl returns.

Darryl's returns arouses surprise and strong emotions. Nate blames himself, but Rickie bitterly scolds her ex 'defected' ex's complete silence and utter absence as baby Csey's father, which he tries to explain as crucial for their safety, with ex-con confident Ash's help.

Ash wonders why Phoebe still avoids him. Darryl tells Kyle he must disappear again. Rickie plans to keep him secret for Nate. Detective Dylan Carter arrests Ash as Charlotte's murder suspect after Phoebe admits having provided a fake alibi, Kat thinks he's motivated by jealousy against her other ex.

Andy has a bleeding surf accident wound and is brought to hospital, where Hannah patches him up. The exes act distant and awkward, but when she insists to escort him home and he to offer her a drink, they're back on kissing terms. Dylan grills Ash grimly, but must let him go after Kat finds a security camera providing a real alibi. Concerned, Kyle questions Phoebers attitude to Ash.

Hannah and Andy have had thuddingly bad sex and decide to just stay friends after all. Roo, Matt and Maddy move into their new flat, where the two shallow teens are soon looking for excuses to have sex all the time. Oscar and Skye bond over their recent break-ups; John assures Skye she still has a home but immediately has to leave her when Marilyn has an accident overseas. Andy encourages Josh to patch things up with Evie but she's in no mood to listen to his speeches and tells Leah she has a lump on her breast.

Leah, Zac and Hannah support Evelyn as she gets the lump in her breast tested. She tries to keep it a secret from Oscar but he soon finds out and supports her. Roo attempts to lay down some ground rules to Matt and Maddy but they remind her they're meant to be flatmates; she retaliates by telling them to do their own cooking and buy their own food. John arranges for Skye to stay with Irene while he's away, prompting Olivia to act like a brat. Chris tries to get back in the Smouldr dating game but puts his date off by ranting about Hannah.

Matt and Maddy's attempt at independence has resulted in them living in a pig sty. Maddy attempts to motivate her childish boyfriend to clean the place but he ends up shrinking her clothes. Evelyn's test results come back clear but inspire her and Hannah to get tested for the BRSA gene; after a chat with Maddy, Oscar decides to join them. Nate finds Ricky is hiding the present Brax gave Casey; in order to prove her commitment, Ricky suggests they get married that week.

The teens gather for orientation week. Matt and Maddy's shallow relationship still consists largely of childish bickering, while Josh and Evie are getting closer again and Oscar is dressing funny and being the subject of scorn. Hannah signs up to a paramedics course but an attempt to talk to Chris results in her injuring herself. Nate decides against a rushed wedding but decides that instead of finding somewhere permanent he and Ricky should house sit for John and Marilyn. Irene tells Roo, who suddenly knows all about it, about her search for her child.

Chris finds an unconscious Hannah and she quickly recovers in hospital. Chris needs a lot of prompting to visit her but eventually tells her he still loves her. Dull couple Josh and Evelyn also reunite at the party, while annoying couple Matt and Maddy drive everyone mad with their bickering and Leah convinces Oscar to be himself at uni. Kat rebuffs abusive ex Dylan's attempts to befriend her but, working together, they learn that Charlotte called Kyle shortly before she died.

Kyle is arrested and grilled by Dylan, but maintains his innocence, while force to admit he made the last call with Charlotte, claiming he simply refused to meet her. VJ comes dangerously close to expulsion from the school basketball team for openly attacking arsonist Hunter, whom he wants to leave town, while Olivia bonds over the case with Skye and Billie. Hearing Ash needs a partner to buy a garage, Andi proposes himself.

Ash dreams of running is who, garage but lacks the funds to go for it alone, but equally car-wise handy Andy also wants to get ahead and offers a partnership, so they decide to apply for a bank loan. Dylan and Kat systematically consider Summer Bay people people Charlotte knew as possible murder suspects, however unlikely, and gather evidence, until a spires find motivates Dyan to proceed to an arrest.

Ash fears his garage dream is over despite a bank loan now the local one has been sold to another, but Andy comes up with a suitable cheap alternative from scratch. Hunter and Kat feel guilty, his gang shocked, when Zac is arrested for lies about his whereabouts. Alf calls Morag to takes charge of his defense, but Dylan still gets a formal charge. Rickie looked forward to a romantic night with Nate, but he's exhausted again after another extra shift.

The home front can barely handle Leah's tantrums and Hunter's guilt-tainted wining, but Alf's promise that Morga will sort it all out has a terrible start, as she even fails to secure bail after Zac is formally charged with Charlotte's murder by Dylan, whom she accuses of pointlessly seeking to redeem himself with his prosecutor pa. While Ash hesitates, Andy starts asking people preliminary acceptance to help set up their garage from scratch on Alf's caravan site. Rickie refuses to question Nate's near-constant absence or exhaustion, as Phoebe would.

Morag accuses Dylan of breaking the law to keep innocent Zac in custody but the smug detective is happy to celebrate his victory. Leah is now convinced of her husband's innocence and begs Kat for help. Smitten Skye invites Oscar out for a pizza to cheer him up, but he invites all his friends along and then kisses a girl from uni. Maddy blows her rent money on an unnecessary new dress, prompting Matt to snitch to Roo. Irene meets with a woman who says she thinks she's her daughter.

Kyle enjoys being seduced by secretive stranger Isla Schuitz, to Josh's amusement, only to learn she's a spy from the Melbourne gangster who still wants to collect his huge gambling debt even if he has to threaten all Kyle's loves ones. Chris hesitates to resume romance with Hannah on her first nursing study break home, Billie finds and convinces them both are still in love, so he plans a beach picnic. Irene is quickly convince that stranger Claire Lewis must be her biological daughter, only Olivie remains duly skeptical and semi-accidentally tells her about Irene's ...

Terrorized by the threats to pay back his Melbourne gambling debt, Kyle considers selling the gym and starts talking over Ticky, but admits to Billie, who guessed enough, fearing it won't nearly suffice. Irene is convinced Claire must be her daughter before they send in a DNA test, but suspicious Olivia searches her bag and finds piled up debts leading to recent eviction. Chris and Hannah are happily together again, despite an ants-wrecked beach picnic.

Hannah is supported by Chris, Evelyn and Oscar as she goes to get her results and learns she has the faulty BRCA gene. She is reluctant to accept their support and ends up breaking up with Chris. A thoughtless comment from Matt results in Maddy confiding in him about her fears of her cancer coming back. Billie works out that Kyle is planning to burn down Angelo's for the insurance and convinces him to go to the police about Dave's threats instead.

Nate plays go-between for Hannah and Chris, and Hannah is convinced to let Chris makes his own mind up over whether he wants to be with her. After talking things over with him, she decides to opt for a double mastectomy. Matt and Maddy bicker again, get a lecture from Roo again and conclude that they moved in together too soon but it doesn't matter because they really really like each other again. Kyle reports Isla and Dave to the police but feels guilty when he finds out Isla is trying to get custody of her children. Both of them are then abducted by a group of thugs.

Kyle and Isla are taken by Dave and a goon to the Woods to dig their own graves, but he manages to knock them out one by one and escape with her, even insists to help with her defense as jailed accomplice so as not to loose her kids, startling Rickie, who was pleasantly surprised like Kat that Dylan took her missing report seriously without waiting 24 hours. Hunter and VJ, now a brotherly team; fail to hide 'murderer scum' vandalism in the caravan park for Leah and Alf while everyone agonizes if Zac's bail appeal is granted and are glared at in the diner, only to find...

Alf decides against renting land to Andy and Ash who already ordered garage equipment, but finds a suitable derelict depot. Zac's bail appeal fails and he refuses to receive visitors, Morag keeps snooping against Dylan, who is shortlisted to had a city police tasks force but not promoted, and suspect Kat being his 'accomplice'. Alf talks Leah out of moving after the house was vandalized. The kids try to cheer up Leah by organizing a Greek feast, but the mood is spoiled by a reporter tricking her into an interview bashing the locals, a demonstrating bunch of whom Alf ...

Andy and Ash start turning the depot into a garage, despite Phoebe and Kath proving all but the promised silent partners. Olivia wins Roo to her side mistrusting Claire, who seems after Irene and dodging a DA test, but passes Morag's screening. Only Phoebe still talks Kat, who is promoted head constable, out of reconciling with ex Dylan whom Andy and Ash reluctantly accept as first garage customer.

Hearing Isla consider another job fro Dave's gang, Kyle gets her out by promising to pay a top lawyer and accepts gratitude by lips and in bed, ignoring Rickie's warning against is white knight syndrome. Chris tirelessly watches over Hannah, who pretends at the surgeon's briefing to have no problem with a double mastectomy and angrily waves his support group suggestion while inviting the girls for a cocktail party to wave out her breast. Kyle ignores Ricky's warnings about crazy Isla, whom he tells not to expect sex for help, unlike her past in Dave's pimp service,.and accepts to chaperon a beach visit from her kid daughters, where he meets fine father Harry Kingswood, who grants Kyle a few days to find her before calling the police. Nate and tireless Chris stand by Hannah as she has the double mastectomy, while Evie drags the whole students gang and Andy to loads of pointless domestic pre-rehab chores.

Ash must speak out as 'silent' garage partner Phoebe foolishly meddles with his and Andy's budding business, making absurd promises to clients. Nate and Leah encourage Chris to be Hannah's rock of support now she doubts if the irreversible mastectomy was the right choice. Morag openly threatens Dylan the case's holes would wreck his career and questions Kat's involvement with her ex, which Phoebe also bugs her about as vindictive feminist.

Leah is furious at having seen friend Kat kissing the corrupt cop who fit up her husband, but gets good news when Morag gets proof of Zac's whereabouts at the time of the murder. VJ is trying to support his mother but she convinces him to go out and have fun, so he and Billie decide to gatecrash a uni party. Childish Matt is more interested in sleazy hook-ups with Maddy than doing his uni work, despite warnings from Roo. VJ and Skye sneak into the uni party but VJ ends up getting drunk and having to be looked after by Billie, while Skye is dispirited to see Oscar copping off with a succession of girls. Evelyn fills Oscar in on Skye's crush and he does his best to preserve her feelings. Irresponsible Matt decides to quit uni after about two weeks. Irene and Claire are left shattered by Olivia's selfish interference and their attempt to carry on as normal fails. Olivia's row with boyfriend Hunter is halted by the arrival of Lindsay, the girl he stayed with in the city, who announces ...

Just when Hunter hopes to have convinced Olivia Lindsay was a meaningless one-night weakness, she arranges to be seen seemingly kissing. Nate checks up on recovering Hannah and with Irene coaches Chris to ignore Hannah's mean scolding to leave and stay to face her wounds.

Alf appeases the gang who nervously plans to celebrate Zac's return and especially Leah when his distant attitude spoils the mood. As she fears, Zac hides a secret: a stabbing wound. Vj eagerly drags the girls to a beach party, where Olivia stays despite it turning out to be hosted by Lindsay, who bribes a city hunk to flirt with her rival, so she can send a picture convincing Hunter she's no more faithful.

Kat is busy fawning over corrupt cop Dylan and is on the receiving end of a serve from a furious Leah. Zac shows her his wounds and they try to reconnect, although he is struggling with what has happened to him. Roo suggests to Maddy that Matt quitting uni because it wasn't as much of a laugh as he thought it would be isn't a mature decision and she gets more evidence of what a loser her boyfriend is when a sex video he recorded with Charlotte ends up online. Kat and Dylan then take Matt in for questioning over Charlotte's murder.

Matt faces the consequences of his sordid affair with murder victim Charlotte as he gets grilled by Dylan and Kat, and is soon wallowing in self-pity, especially when the police learn he threatened to expose their relationship. Phoebe is meant to be helping organise the fundraiser but neglects her duties to berate Ash for daring to make arrangements without her. Kyle continues to pursue lost cause Isla and eventually finds her working in a strip club.

Kyle convinces Isla just in time to abandon brothel work and return the kids before Harry reports them kidnapped, then takes her home with him and tells off meddling ex Phoebe. Nate and Chris doubt if Hannah will have the courage to follow their advice against staying cooped up, but although late she attends the fund-raising trivia quiz which Chris hosts brilliantly. Ash duly dismisses Phoebe's nagging about rather meeting his ex-con mate that same evening, but is stood up and ends up drunk in bed with bar floozy Selena Baxter.

Ash feels guilty as hell over his drunk infidelity but ignores Billie's advice to come clean before Phoebe finds out, which happens very soon as Alf passes on his hasty excuse to have made pictures with a 'visiting niece'. Chris makes Ha ah happy and confident enough to do post-op photo-shoot solo with Rickie.

Ash feels his relationship with Phoebe is doomed until a visit from Selena reveals they didn't sleep together. However, Phoebe feels their relationship is already broken and ends it anyway. Kat spends a night in a motel room with abusive ex Dylan, who takes great delight in baiting town loser Matt about being a murder suspect. With Matt wanting to quit Angelo's, Maddy lines him up an apprenticeship at the garage, but then gets another example of the uphill struggle she faces trying to have a mature relationship when he assaults one of his tormentors.

Maddy rapidly forgives loser boyfriend Matt for coward punching his tormentor, but not everyone is so forgiving and he is charged with assault. When the garage is wrecked shortly after he starts work there, he suspects it is his fault, but in fact corrupt cop Dylan has organised it, jealous of Ash and Kat's friendship. Kyle continues to convince himself he can put Isla on the straight and narrow, but her response to being denied access to her children is to buy a gun.

Against VJ's advice to fight for his love patiently, Hunter feels mean Olivia won't make up, while she confide into Skye only t want him to suffer first, and accepts an innocent date with Lyndsey, who keeps tempting him, so far to no real avail. Even VJ now worries that Zac isn't the same, even grumpily refusing to help him with a book report. BY the time Kyle senses trouble and guesses Isla is up to no good at the country club where she claimed to apply for a job, she and a cahoot already lie waiting to rob the cash transport.

Nate is not amused the instead of sorting out the grand wedding details with him as the nurses expect, bride Ricky proposes to elope, but they agree on a beach wedding. After Lyndsey's bought cahoot Drew admits her game, Hunter can convince Olivi he was set up. Kyle arrives while Isla robs the club, but she stubbornly continues taking the staff hostage, fails to break the safe and looses time until the police has surrounded them. Kyle persuades her to let the staff go and poses a sole thief, to Kat's astonishment.

Kyle has been arrested, claims innocence but refuses even to admit having seen Isla, even if that means a likely jail sentence, disabling him from looking after Casey Jr. Having snapped at 'bothersome teen' Hunter, whom he and owner Alf punish for Lyndsey's 'borrowed' van antics, Zac is forced by a vague suggestion from Kat to tell Leah he was stabbed in jail for tipping off staff friends about an impending, potentially bloody row, Nate agrees after another round of Rickie turning down his suggestions, now for the honeymoon, to move their wedding up in just a month. ...

Hunter's wound renders him unable to breed when trying to pack up the picnic. Runnih for help, Olivia bumps into Greg and his passenger, Zac, who calls Nate and is instructed to perform a tracheotomy, but nearly faints to to his prison trauma, yet succeeds. VJ can't refuse Skye's request to teach her surfing, yet puzzles Billie by failing to enter the water with either, just flirting. Greg worries about Zac and angrily asks why he didn't tell having met Greg's wayward son in jail.

VJ convinces Skye to pretend being a couple to render Billie and Oscar jealous. Evie sees trough it and tells Josh, who can't watch the comedy and spills the beans. Forensics suggest tea rage vandalism, leaving to traces, may be a pro job. Dylan tells Andy it's no police priority and suggests Ash may be the target, which convinces the latter to accuse Dylan and promise a reckoning later. Greg, Leah and Roo lean on Zac, whose nightmares get worse, to consider therapy and helping Greg's son Wayne, who helped Zac in jail but refuses, guilt-torn, to demand a transfer.

Maddy has made a post defending moping boyfriend Matt but this simply makes her the trolls' new target and she fears she is being followed. It is Josh's turn to give Matt a leg up by convincing Ash to take him back on at the garage. Ash fills everyone in on the fact Dylan was behind the destruction of the garage but Kat refuses to believe him and, despite an intervention by Hannah and Phoebe, is soon having sex with him at the police station again. Ash confronts her at the station and Emerson overhears.

Maddy is still freaked out by the online bullying and both Roo and Matt go to the police only to learn they have little chance of laying charges. Kyle is out on bail but still refusing to turn in real criminal Isla, so Ricky decides to move her wedding to before he goes to jail. Kat finds herself taken off the murder case because of her relationship with Dylan, who again demonstrates his temper with his reaction to the news. Ash and Phoebe struggle to adjust to being friends again.

Kat and Dylan's relationship leaves all her friends feeling uncomfortable, but Kat is the one left feeling uncomfortable when she discovers her corrupt boyfriend has a file of photos of her from when they were apart on his computer. Matt and Maddy are hiding away after the internet bullying, prompting Evelyn to annoy them into joining her and Josh on a trip to the city. Greg tells Zac that Tank has been beaten up and Zac is finally honest to Leah about what happened between them in prison. Zac goes to see Tank but before they can talk Tank is stabbed.

Billie is awkward around VJ now she knows about his crush on her, but VJ tries to get her attention by kissing Skye, who overreacts and calls him a jerk. Billie takes Oscar's advice and lets VJ down gently. Dull couples Josh/Evelyn and Matt/Maddy spend some time in a hotel where Josh decides to propose to his annoying girlfriend. Tank is rushed into hospital needing surgery after his stabbing. Zac is determined to help him get parole but faces opposition from thug Josh, who decides to demonstrate his scumbag credentials by attacking a helpless hospital patient, and ...

Despite devoted Nate's many concessions and some lukewarm efforts from Ricky, her refusal even to consider taking his name or writing wedding vows convince him there's a deeper problem, perhaps secret congratulations from Darryl. Hunter felt on the mend as his checkup shows a nearly clear bill of health, but must tell Zac Olivia treated him to a make-up picnic, yet is strangely aloof, in fact nervously sneaking in a pregnancy test. Zac explains his gratitude for Tank saving his life in jail to the twins, Evie agrees against Leah's panic after visiting her 'criminal' ...

Nate decides to ignore Ricky's unenthusiastic attitude, but she confide in Phoebe to have got cold feet since Darryl congratulated her. At the joint bachelor party at Angelo's, Kat gets drunk, so Ash decides to drive her home, spied at by Dylan. Kyle keeps his impeding trial secret rather then spoil the mood, even joins Kyle's last night of freedom with Andi. Hunter waves VJ's questions about Olivia's aloof attitude, but she confides into Skye and Irene about a positive pregnancy test.

After patiently dragging his bride trough more wedding stuff such as her Roo-mended gown, ignoring Rickie decided against canceling after concerting with self-imposed 'wedding planner' Phoebe, Nate hesitantly allows Chris, Andi and Ash to take him from the bachelor party to a last night, which ends slumbering on the beach. Best man Kyle gets a baffling surprise visit from Isla, who after making love realizes he can't just leave his life and baby Casey to run with her without real hope. It's Nate's wedding day, and the model groom is perfectly ready and admirably calm despite everything keeping to go wrong. Best man Kyle definitely waves questions about risking his life for Isla, even now that means saying goodbye to Casey junior. Nate finally looses his cool when Ricky is terribly late, but that's only because Kyle's car broke down, so they come running to the ceremony at the beach, which goes well after all. Kat acts completely schizophrenic concerning boyfriend Dylan. Ash warns him off again and now concentrates on Billie.

Kyle goes to court, but persists in his stubborn refusal to admit knowing about the real robber. Isla sneaks in for a last love night, claiming she cant run and must take the blame, but at night he finds the gun in her purse, wipes her prints and drips at at the precinct anonymously as evidence against himself. Ash agrees to help Kat, whose boss is about to be promoted away, dealing with Dylan, by tracking down goon Womma Ronaldo whom he used after sparing him jail and leaning on him to testify against the cop.

Kyle quietly and bravely hears and accepts his ten to thirteen years jail sentence, and is processed into prison. Nate fears running Angeo's and raising Casey without Kyle may be too much for Rickie. Hunter looses his patience with Olivia's mysterious aloofness, Skye still pleads in vain to come clean she's expecting his baby. Ash convinces Kat, whom Dylan gave a beating for her disloyalty, to file a complaint with new supervisor sergeant Philip McCarthy, but his prosecutor's office father prevents his suspension. Ash roughs up Dylan, who grimly keeps quiet.

Town creep Hunter shows his cowardly streak by running out on pregnant airhead girlfriend Olivia. He eventually goes back and offers his support but Olivia is starting to realise what awful parents they'd make. Zac announces that Tank is out on parole, prompting Josh and Oscar to start making the same self-righteous speeches they made the previous year and Leah to start looking for an excuse to send him back to his death. Despite cooler heads working out the obvious that Tank couldn't have deliberately gone to Josh and Evelyn's secret engagement party, he's still a target for everything in town, with Irene and Oscar snootily warning Skye off him and VJ punching him without provocation. However, seeing him bullied and victimised only earns Skye's sympathy and she kisses the reformed criminal. The town breathes a sigh of relief as Olivia has an abortion.

VJ's due warning against Tank, having caught Skye kissing the scoundrel, are discarded, as next-informed Evie's. Encouraged by Zac and Irene, Hunter ends Olivia's requested solitude to actively stand by her after the abortion. Ash moves in to protect Kat against Dylan, which makes Phoebe sense, not admit, she's not quite over him, even turning down a most promising first date. Maddy wants to leave hospital but the pain in her arm is getting worse. Tori does a scan and tells her the arm needs to be amputated.

Maddy is in pieces at the thought of having her arm amputated but surrogate mother Roo helps her find the strength to go through with it and afterwards her family rally round. Billie returns to town to the news that kindly Oscar, her only support after her rape, has died and ends up having comfort sex with nice guy VJ. The town organises a massive search for Maddy but fail to check obvious places like the local motel and the grave of the love of her life. Her mother Tanya returns to town to shout the odds before Tori reveals that she has contracted MRSA, just as she collapses in her room. Nate and Tori are both interviewed for the promotion and Nate is disappointed when Tori gets it, being frosty towards Ricky.
