After a botched drug deal, Troy must take his family into Witness Protection in exchange for giving evidence against his former employer, vicious crime boss Nils Vandenberg.

Now settled in their suburban town house, Mitch and Tara are enrolled at Performing Arts High School.

Tara becomes involved in fight at her school while Lincoln is wondering if his criminal activies is rubbing off on his daughter while a man tries to break into the Swift house which scares Rebecca.

Mitch hasn't settled well in Sydney and feeling homesick for the Gold Coast and missing his girlfriend, Kelly goes back. Doesn't take for Lincoln to find out his son has gone back so he risks his life to find Mitch.

Lincoln is settling into his new job at the university till Pinder informs him that Danny is out of jail and is in Sydney making Lincoln paranoid and looking over his shoulder.

Tara decides to let her hair down and go into the city with new school friend Elicia, who gets into a life threatening situation, and Lincoln gives a lecture in lying and deception at the University.

Lincoln is missing and Bec fears he's dead while Mitchell and Tara each secretly believe they're responsible for their father's kidnapping.

Lincoln knows that Sydney is no longer safe, but Bec wants to stay to meet their daughter; and Pinder has to cut the family loose.
