New to Year 7, Tanya's sister Jenny, and Togger's sister Lucy, are on a war footing from the start. Kathy crashes her learner car into the school gates, and Alex gets trouble from Max.

Emma meets Kyle, a traveller from the local camp and Togger's earplugs make him miss a chance for romance with Tanya.

Emma gets closer to Kyle, Chloe sends love texts to Max Humphries, Ross surprises Karen at the Salsa dancing sessions, and Baz's friendship with Anna makes Holly jealous.

Kyle puts a gypsy curse on Chloe, Mooey instructs Alex to sell smoothies on credit, and Togger is shocked to find that Andy is being moved to a private school.

Jealous after seeing Baz dance with Anna, Togger plays a rough game of football. When Baz is knocked to the ground, he does not rise again.

As the school reels from Baz's death, Tanya spends the day walking with Togger. She tries to convince him it wasn't his fault, but back at school, Donnie is certain it was.

Emma and Kyle make love on the rooftops, Kathy takes her Driving Theory Test, and the coroner's report reveals that Baz's death was caused by a heart condition.

Baz's funeral takes place, and his friends talk about his life. Tigger comes up with the idea of a magic show on the radio.

Emma makes use of a home pregnancy kit, Ed and Tigger do an impressive magic trick on the radio, Tanya has a shock at the hairdressers, and Holly decides to go to Australia.

Alex starts bullying year 7's, Chloe finds a way to get Max's attention, and Emma tells Tanya about her pregnancy, but there's a shock when they find that the travellers have moved on.

Kathy celebrates her birthday by getting drunk, Tigger uses Lucy's guinea pig for a magic trick, but then loses it, and Chloe's kiss from Max is not what she imagines it to be.

Tigger and Ed still can't find the missing guinea pig, Alex steals a raffle prize for Mooey and Max, and Kathy is shocked to hear what Donnie really thinks of her.

Tigger and Ed's magic tricks are spoilt by Jenny, Alex relays the aggression from Max and Mooey onto Bryn, and Tanya tells Togger about Emma's pregnancy.

Kathy passes her driving test, Emma's pregnancy becomes common knowledge, and Tanya calls Emma's mother in, receiving a smack across the face from Emma as a result.

Tigger, Ed, Alison and Sammy do a spot of ghost hunting, while Kathy goes out partying again. The next day, she can't remember if she slept with Donnie or not.

Chloe, out for revenge, takes an absurd picture of Max; Kathy's mother finds out about Donnie; and Max and Mooey instruct Alex to find a fridge-freezer.

Alex and Bryn's acquisition of a fridge contribute towards Grange Hill's football efforts, Max discovers it was Chloe who took the picture of him, and Tanya makes plans for her birthday.

Alex's bullying comes out into the open, leading to a punch-up that unites Togger and Donnie. Emma goes to the abortion clinic, but does she go through with the procedure?

Max ruins Karen's chances to win the dance competition and spikes Martin's drink. Togger has an overseas holiday job lined up, but shuts up Tanya's angry rant with a long kiss.

At the school prom the Sixth Formers say goodbye to each other and Emma breaks the news to Tanya that she didn't go through with the abortion.
