A trigger happy Swede and a timid Brit, who are both at risk of losing their badges, partner up on a grisly murder case.

Trying to connect the grave with the victim, lady cop identifies the drunken student in old video, reluctantly questions her. Captain's step son gets a special badge, becomes bodyguard, deals with press.

Identifying a suspicious person of interest, Sophie and Tom sneak into his house and regrettably interrupt a rather peculiar religious ritual.

Tom feels a connection with Sophias estranged mother. Sophias recklessness gets her kicked off the case - until another body turns up.

Tom and Sophia go to England to question the victims widow. Back in Sweden, a celebrated crime reporter gets involved with the case. Too involved.

Sophias old boyfriend becomes a prime suspect. Case closed? Maybe officially, but something just doesn't feel right.

What does the McGuffin Batter company have to do with it all? Also, can you even kill someone with a hand batter.

The trail leads to a tense standoff at a cabin in the woods. The past catches up with Kristina and Tom. The killer has one last move to make.
