Host Kelli Ellis heads inside celebrity homes for room makeovers that extend beyond the walls and into the psyche of each guest. As both a designer and design psychologist, Kelli has an innovative approach that takes a deeper look at the "why" behind the colors, styles and furniture in each makeover.

Designer Kelli Ellis shows up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed to meet with her new client, makeup guru Kandee Johnson. They tour Kandee's spacious bedroom, where Kelli introduces a design concept she calls "The 3 F's of Design": function, flow and feel. During this initial visit, Kelli keeps the conversation focused on the function of the space and how Kandee envisions spending her time there. Kandee has a surprise in store, making this one makeover Kelli won't soon forget.

Kelli's back on site at casa de Kandee with a fresh set of design drawings and stylish samples, from fluffy white faux fur to cozy velvet fabrics and more. This visit is all about the "feel" of Kandee's bedroom and the mood she hopes to create. Kandee's wishlist includes a space with a glamorous, Old Hollywood vibe. She and Kelli talk furniture and fabrics, and how they can infuse the space with elegant upgrades.

Kelli arrives at Kandee's house to greet the Furnitureland South delivery team, who've driven all the way from North Carolina to California with all the furniture in tow. As they come in, Kandee goes out. Kelli oversees the furniture placement and ends up creating a separate studio within Kandee's bedroom, something Kandee won't know about until she sees the room. The final reveal is just around the corner.
