A young lady stops a truck and gets a lift. They stop at an inn, but after that, things get strange.

Derrick gets a phone call late at night. An anonymous lady wants to testify in a case.

The Stettner couple is going home from a party. They have a flat tyre and decide to visit a nearby house for help. They find a dead man in the house, and get the cops. But while they are away, the corpse vanishes.

A stockbroker plans to drive to Lindau, but he never gets there. The scorched remains of his car and himself are found off-road. The police suspect that it wasn't an accident, and the widow tells them he had been getting threatening calls lately.

Mr. Gruga wakes up in the night into the noise of someone breaking into his house. He alerts his house servant Mr. Bennecke, who goes after the burglars. Seconds later Mr. Bennecke lies dead in the yard and the silverware is missing.

On his way home at night, Harry Klein sees a scared and confused girl. He escorts her home and asks if she needs a doctor or any other help, but she refuses. In the morning Harry goes back to check on her, but when the landlady lets him in, they have a gruesome surprise.

Berthold Dettmers answers his phone and leaves his home. Out in the street, he is run over by a car that speeds off the scene right away.

Mr. Waginger moves from Kiel to München and gets employed as a gardener and car driver for the Korin family. Everything starts out nice but then there is a murder.

Anita Schneider leaves a party early and Mr. Hohner offers her a ride home. But the trip fails to follow the original plan.
