Tim Vine's first customer at his antique shop is presenter Ore Oduba, who wants Tim to mend his golden arrow so Tim steps into the time machine inside his grandfather clock to return to the year 1215, where he meets Ore in the guise of Robin Hood, pining for Maid Marion. The merry men persuade Tim to act as match-maker but Marion falls for Tim - who must ensure that the couple are united, defeat the evil sheriff of Nottingham and return to the present with the arrow intact.

Clumsy japester Leslie Winner is visiting girlfriend Jemma's parents Chris and Teresa with a view to proposing to her but his immaturity is giving Jemma doubts and Chris is not happy when Leslie accidentally kills his koi carp. To give him one last chance Jemma agrees to a weekend in London where his antics on a tour bus and choice of B and B continue to annoy her. Everything now depends on a spectacular proposal in an aquarium to make Jemma change her mind.

Single, homeless and jobless Rob leaves London to move back in with parents Cath and Gal, only to find the 'home' is a static caravan on a site in Margate and he has to bed down in the living room. Unimpressed by local entertainer Hirsty he plans to return to the city but is prevented when Cath puts all his clothes in the wash. Feelings for barmaid Jen and his parents' impressive performance at karaoke persuade him that life on the site might not be so bad - but then he discovers Gal's secret store of highly dangerous Chinese gas canisters.
