Han Se-ju, a popular Korean writer, senses karmic flashbacks from an ancient Korean typewriter while on a book signing tour in the US. A fanatic fan attacks Han at home but Jeon, a fan fiction writer and die-hard fan, and a dog, intervene.

A diabolic fan tries to kill Han, but Jeon prevents it. In custody, he commits suicide, causing a controversy. Disturbed, Han is unable to write. His car skids down a mountain on a rainy day. His former foster mother resents his success.

Jeon rescues Han from the crash. Han recognizes Jeon as his first fan, the sales girl in that restaurant. Gal employs Han's foster brother, Tae-min, to ghost write for Han. Tae-min's mom wants to exploit the rumor about the ghost writing.
