Nadya confesses to her husband Andrey Kamanin that she fell in love with another man and wants to leave. He also has news: he was included in the ISS crew. He asks his wife to postpone making a final decision, because if someone finds out about the problems in his family, the flight for which he has been preparing for so long will not take place.

Andrey Kamanin, crew commander Gennadiy Yashin and Timur Kutovykh continue training for the flight. The Kamanins' son Danya feels a crack in his parents' relationship. Soon he meets Yashin's daughter Kristina. The psychologist Shutov is closely watching Andrey and Nadya, being sure that not everything is in order in their relationship.

The wives of the astronauts are offered to shoot small stories for their husbands. Nadya carefully prepares to record the material, thinking over everything to the smallest detail. Shutov summons her to him and analyzes her video message to Kamanin in detail, pointing out some oddities. After leaving the psychologist, crying Nadya runs into Yashin. Gennadiy consoles his beloved.

The ship is heading towards an orbital station, where American astronauts Megan Wright and Neil Spencer are already working. Suddenly, the system crashes, and Yashin's crew has to do "docking manually." Kristina spends the night with Danya. Nadya learns that her son's friend is Yashin's daughter. Shutov again tries to get Nadya to talk. Danya tells Kristina that another man has appeared in his mother's life, and they decide together to find out who exactly.

An emergency occurs at the station: during a spacewalk, Timur Kutovykh's "drinker" breaks down in his spacesuit, and he begins to choke on water. Nadya agrees to go to psychotherapy sessions with Shutov. Communication with the station is lost in the MCC. At this time, the astronauts see the approach of the transport module with which the collision occurs. Yashin accidentally blurts out, remembering a joke he heard from Nadya. Kamanin has suspicions.

MCC decides to evacuate the astronauts from the station on the spacecraft. The only chance to save the ISS is to carry out repair work in outer space. Neil and the sick Kutovykh are sent to the ground, while Yashin, Kamanin and Megan remain. Families of cosmonauts gather at the Mission Control Center. Thanks to the mother of the Kutovykh, Nadya's secret becomes known to everyone. Despite the general contempt, Nadya courageously tries to save the situation and speaks tenderly to her husband. Yashin also hears their conversation.

Nadya once again manages to get in touch with her husband. She tells Andrey about her feelings and asks to come back, but Andrey throws away the headphones. Astronauts are preparing for a spacewalk. The third spacesuit is also broken after the accident. Yashin puts on the Kutovykh's spacesuit and replaces the broken "drinker", but in the process of work the helmet begins to fill with water. Kamanin demands that Yashin return, but Gennadiy continues his work.

Time passes. Yashin works as an instructor in Star City. Danya unexpectedly comes to him. He talks about how the mother is clinically depressed and does not want to live. Yashin calls Nadya. They meet for the first time since the flight. Nadya understands that then at the station Kamanin did not hear what she was saying to him. Andrey is preparing for the next flight.
