Rex Randolph discovers his partner has died, the police dismiss the case as a simple suicide, but Randolph is convinced far more is at stake. Working his way through the social elite of Pelican Bay he does uncover a truth no one expected and picks up a new partner for his business along the way.

Rex gets a strange note care of his office assistance requesting he come out to an old run down plantation house. It becomes obvious very quickly something is very wrong at the house especially when former employees turn up dead.

Cal is asked by a young lady, Cindy Roberts to investigate how her previous lover Kip Kiley had been released early from jail and refuses to have anything to do with her. What Cal discovers is far more complex and involves the whole existence of the club scene on Bourbon Street.

When police refuse to search for a young man's missing girlfriend, Rex and Cal agree to help him locate her.

Cal sets out to prove an old friend is innocent of murder and becomes convinced that the killing is somehow gangland related.

Harry Evans a local musician asks Rex for a loan of $1000.00 because he refuses to explain why, Rex refuses. Later Rex has a change of heart and visits Harry to find he has committed suicide.

Cal gets a note from a man living deep in the bayou. Just getting to meet the man creates challenges and a string of strange encounters with the inhabitants of the local town. Once he meets the man he is told a story that leads to possible fatal circumstances.

Several people have received invitations to a politico's party, at which someone is supposed to be murdered. The politico hires Rex to get to the bottom of it.

Cal begins to investigate a strange case when a man claims he checked into a hotel with his wife, and the woman appears to have disappeared with out a trace.

Kenny becomes involved in a case when it appears one of New Orleans most famous criminals "The Axe Murder" has re-emerged.

Rex and Cal are called in to investigate the possible theft of a beetle shaped piece of jewelry. The only lead they have is the possible motive of the ex husband of one of the owners.

Laura Montgomery hires Cal to help her find the $75,000 in cash that her grandfather had hidden somewhere on the riverboat Mississippi Queen over forty years ago.

Rex is called in when a famous painting "The Lenore" is stolen from a local art gallery. His expertise and cunning are required when a mysterious woman approaches the gallery with an offer to return the painting.

A rich old woman has collected a group of misfits around her, dreaming that her act of kindness will change their lives. Cal discovers someone is trying to poison her, but who, and more importantly, how?

After a close personal friend of Rex is found murdered. He agrees to go undercover into jail to try and crack the alibi of the man he thinks responsible.

A man injured in a hit and run accident staggers into Rex and Cal's office. He appears to be suffering from amnesia, but even after people come forward to identify him, some still have doubts.

A family approaches Rex and Cal when they become concerned about a series of voodoo symbols that have been delivered to their home. The family think it is just mischief, but Cal's knowledge of Voodoo suggests far more sinister motives are in play.

Cal and Kenny are on a riverboat bound for New Orleans to protect a government informant, while others onboard want him dead. But neither faction seems to know what the man looks like.

Musicians and performers in New Orleans are being strong-armed by a shady "talent agency" that wants 10% of every performer's income, or else. When the Baron is attacked, Rex and Cal step in.

Melody is accused of stealing diamonds that were lent to her by a local socialite, but nothing, not even the diamonds, is what it seems to be.

A dead man with two spoiled rotten heirs has put a codicil in his will asking Rex to certify that his death was not caused by his children.

Rex and Cal unwittingly become embroiled in the plot to assassinate an up and coming politician.

A beauty pageant contestant goes missing the same night that her would-be blackmailer is found murdered.

Cal is hired to break up a political gang with a stranglehold on a small town, Midas City, but must end his partnership with Rex to avoid suspicion.

Rex travels to the bayou settlement of Luzon Village to investigate a mystery which holds the locals in the grip of fear.

Sgt. Al Bogart does a favor for Cal Calhoun and in return wants Calhoun to return the gesture. It's a shadow job on a crook named Sid Lucas. Bogart wants no questions asked and no other cops involved. Cal is puzzled but because of Bogart's sterling reputation as a steady, reliable desk cop he accepts the job. Bogart wants to be in on one great headline grabbing arrest before his retirement and he is convinced Lucas can lead him to Taylor Ferguson...a bar owner who's cheating the IRS. At least that's the story he tells Calhoun.

Rex is hired to find out why the legend of a supernatural swamp phantom is being used to scare Cajun workers away from a bayou oil drilling camp.

When another singer at her nightclub is murdered, Lusti Weather becomes the prime suspect.

Cal Calhoun, when he was a police detective, arrested a man for murder. Six hours before the man is to be executed, Calhoun is convinced the man is innocent. Calhoun makes progress and is on the verge of cracking the case when he realizes he's also the victim of deceit. The clock is ticking and Calhoun may lose his own life before he can save the prisoner's life.

Rex Randolph is hired by a jeweler named Raoul Roulas, to fly to the South American country of San Marco and bring back the murderer of his son. Mr. Roulas believes a swindler named Duke Powell killed his son, stole some jewelry, and fled to San Marco where he bought a gambling nightclub. Mr. Roulas' daughter, Amanda, followed Duke to San Marco to get revenge for killing her brother, and takes a job incognito singing in Duke's nightclub until she can get her revenge. Mr. Roulas also wants Rex to bring Amanda home safe and sound . Upon his arrival in San Marco, Rex ...

While conducting a review of the Braxton Reformatory for Boys, Cal becomes focused upon the case of one particular boy.

Rex goes undercover to investigate the owner of the Cypress Gun Club, and in the process gets framed for the man's murder.

Shrewish Alice Nichols seeks to employ Cal to help find her husband more than two weeks after the man went missing. A short time later the husband is found murdered.

Posing as a journalist, Rex accompanies an expedition into the jungles of San Marco in search of the wreckage of a plane that crashed carrying a South American dictator and a mysterious cargo.

A shady real estate developer is trying to strong-arm property owners into selling their land, and Kenny is hired to intercede - by a young woman who has been dead for twenty years.

The murder of a circus performer is linked to the disappearance of a chimpanzee.

Rex is best man at a friend's wedding interrupted by a bomb threat meant for the bride's father. Rex and fellow PI, BJ, investigate twin brothers tied to the father's past.

A girl runs away from a girls' school to see her estranged father. The father turns out to be Big Tom Lanza, a prominent mobster. Lanza's enemies try to turn the situation to their advantage. Cal Calhoun has been hired to track down the girl but finds himself in the middle of more than he bargained for. Calhouns soon fins not only the girl but her principal are in peril -- and he may not survive the case, either.

Rex is asked by Jan Dennison to help find her brother Brad. Brad has been involved with Mara, owner of a casino and who has shady connections. The father of Jan and Brad is one of the wealthiest men in Louisiana, and is certain to disown Brad if he learns of Brad's relationship with Mara. It turns out Brad went to see Mara on her privately owned island -- where she has been hosting (for a $50,000 fee) two hoods who've pulled off a $250,000 bank robbery. Rex and Jan need to find Brad as Hurricane Teresa is bearing down on Louisiana -- and moving up the Mississippi ...
