When Margaret's mother disapproves of her new non-Korean boyfriend, Margaret furiously announces that she and Kyle are moving in together.

After being dumped by her motorcycle poet boyfriend, Margaret challenges her mother to set up a (Korean) date for her. After finding she likes the man she attempts to act more "traditional" for his both korean families.

Margaret's promotion to manager at the cosmetics counter results in Ruthie trying to take advantage of their friendship. At home, Grandma is convinced that the family's run of bad luck is the result of bad feng shui.

Grandma comes home from the mall with a boyfriend and a marriage proposal that would result in her moving to Florida.

Margaret throws a bachelorette party for Stuart's traditional Korean fiancee.

When the Kims decline an offer to sell their bookstore to a large chain, the chain announces that they will build a store across the street.

Margaret needs to hire a reliable temporary worker at the cosmetics counter and Ruthie and Gloria convince her to hire her mother.

Margaret does a comedy routine about her family in a karaoke bar - unaware that her parents and their friends are in the audience.

Margaret gets into trouble with a bouncer at a local club and ends up in jail the night before she's scheduled to take her law school entrance exams.

A case of expensive perfume vanishes while Ruthie is away from the counter and Margaret must decide what to tell management. And for the first time in her life her mother doesn't have any advice for her.

Margaret dates a British film professor and is disappointed to learn that he is a complete bore in spite of his interesting work.

Margaret is in a "dating slump," so Stuart suggests that she volunteer at the hospital to meet guys.

Stuart's mistake at the hospital amuses Margaret - until he decides to give up his medical career.

In order to asset her independence, Margaret moves out of her house and into an apartment with Ruthie and Gloria, but ends up discovering that good friends don't necessarily mean good roommates.

Margaret moves into the basement and dates the handyman who fixes the place up, while Grandma gets a viewer-tracking device but can't handle the pressure of being a TV ratings household.

Grandma is thrilled to get tickets to The Oprah Winfrey Show, but Katherine is not thrilled when Margaret announces on the show that she's dropping out of school to manage a rock band.

Margaret finds herself immersed in a world of intrigue when her dad sets her up with a video distributor with a secret criminal life.

Margaret waits for a call about a job opportunity but learns that her phone service has been cut off because her new roommates neglected to pay the bill.
