Winston Miller began his film career as a juvenile actor in silent films. He attended Pinceton University and, in 1937, went to work for Republic Pictures as a screenwriter. He assisted David O. Selznick in rewriting the screenplay for Autant en emporte le vent (1939), later taking time out of his career to serve in the Marines during WWII. Leaving the film industry in 1959, he joined Universal Studios in 1960, where he produced for television, and was a producer for the series Cannon (1971) from 1971-75. In 1966 Miller chaired the Permanent Charities Committee and also served on the Motion Picture and Television Fund board of directors.He died of a heart attack in Los Angeles in 1994.
