Vivieno Caldinelli is a Canadian director who has managed to apply his childhood obsessions, fears, and rare comedic vision into becoming an award winning director.Last summer Vivieno directed the dark comedy feature, SEVEN STAGES. The film's stellar cast includes Kate Miccuci, Sam Huntington, Dan Harmon, Mark McKinney, Maria Bamford, Dana Gould, Jon Dore, Rhea Seahorn, and Taika Waititi. The film premiered at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival and was produced by Company X (Elijah Wood, Daniel Noah, and Josh C. Waller) and MarVista Entertainment.In the years prior, Viv was at the helm of four films: the award winning horror-comedy hit PORTAL TO HELL!!! starring the late great Roddy Piper, the MacDonald Hall Trilogy of feature films: GO JUMP IN THE POOL, THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING AT MACDONALD HALL, and THE WIZZLE WAR. The trilogy premiered on NETFLIX in 2017.Recently, Vivieno wrapped as a director of episodes of BARONESS VON SKETCH season 5 (CBC, IFC) in Toronto. Prior to that he was director/executive producer of a half-hour sketch comedy pilot HUMANTOWN for CBC, and he directed the epic 2-part episode of the Emmy Award winning series ODD SQUAD guest starring The Kids In The Hall.Most notably, Vivieno has directed the last 4 seasons of the Canadian comedy institution THIS HOUR HAS 22 MINUTES (CBC), which has thrived on prime-time Canadian television for an incredible 25 consecutive years.In the years prior, Vivieno was a producer/director respectively on Canadian television sketch-comedy cult hits; HOTBOX and PICNICFACE with Executive Producer Mark McKinney. Both shows continue to find loyal new audiences on Hulu, CraveTV (Canada)... And probably Pirate Bay.
