Since 1940 Khokhryakov was an actor of the Central Transport Theater in Moscow. Since 1955 he was an actor and director of the Academic Maly Theater. Khokhryakov fruitfully worked on the radio: in the collection of the radio fund - radio performances with his participation in the works of Ch. Aitmatov, M. Alain, J. Herman, Z. Chernysheva, G.
