Tollie Zellman was born on Aug 31, 1887 in Sweden. Tollie Zellman's big-screen debut came with The Nurtull Gang directed by Per Lindberg in 1923.

Made her debut in 1907. As time passed she became on of Swedens most famous comediennes. Often got to play the role of retired actresses and prima donnas. From 1941-47 she appeared in several operettas at the Oscar Theater in Stockholm. Her biggest success on stage and radio was as Mrs Baxter in a play by Hubert Henry Davies, which she played at the Blanche Theatre in Stockholm in 1922 as well as in 1933. Between 1907 and 1952 she appeared in almost 50 films.
