A native of Tokyo, Japan, Tokio may be best known for playing the character of Joan of Arc in Arthur Kopit's "Chamber Music" in the Abingdon Theatre NYC, directed by Tony-nominated director (and a wonderful actor) Austin Pendleton. Tokio's portrayal of a lonely noodle factory worker in Gregory Mitnick's short "Lawrence" brought him a Best Actor award in First Run Film Festival 2007. He was an active member of HB Studio Ensemble Theater company in West Village for a while and now a resident in Los Angeles. He has a BA theatre degree from CUNY-Hunter College and also studied Psychology in Texas Christian University.
