Stig Cederholm is the creator of Åsa-Nisse, one of the most popular Swedish film and cartoon characters of all time. The inventive farmer Åsa-Nisse made his debut in 1944 in the weekly magazine Tidsfördrif. Cederholm wrote around fifty books about Åsa-Nisse and there have been twenty film adaptations made through the years.
