Ties premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. It also won Best British film at the Cherbourg Film Festival.Various features followed, including three that premiered at the prestigious Montreal World Film Festival.His greatest project to date has been the 13 year quest to tell the epic story of the Oglala Lakota of Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in his documentary A Thunder-Being Nation where he also shot his feature film Rez Bomb.
