Born on April 17, 1973, in Colombes, France. He started working in the film industry in 1997 as a video assistant on Francis Veber's film, Le dîner de cons (1998) (aka The Dinner Game). After this first experience, he directed his first fictional short film, R.I.P. (Rest in Peace) (1998).He was then employed as a camera assistant and worked on films such as Astérix & Obélix contre César (1999), Jeanne d'Arc (1999), Vatel, Le pacte des loups (2001) (aka Brotherhood of the Wolf), Le placard (2001) (aka The Closet), Ma femme... s'appelle Maurice (2002) (aka My Wife's Name Maurice), Tais-toi ! (2003) (aka Ruby and Quentin), The Transporter, Before Sunset (2004), Brice de Nice (2005), Ze film (2005), etc. He has also worked on numerous TV films, commercials and music videos.Simultaneously, he has continued to direct short films: Mind (1999), Eternity (2000), and Apnea (2003).These 4 short films have been selected for 150 films festivals around the world, screened in prestigious film houses and broadcast on many TV channels. They have at this day won 8 internationals awards in U.S.A and in Canada.In 2004, he produced and directed his first documentary Le troisième monde (2004) (aka Another World), the incredible story of two men rowing across the Atlantic Ocean. The movie is a succes (31 films festivals selections) and won five awards in USA, Canadan and Austria.In 2005, he directed with Laurent Lufroy a video for 'Maidi Roth' and Fred Astonvilla, Faudra que tu me rêves produced by Universal Music in France.In 2007-2008, he produced is first feature film documentary "Le Paradis de Sandra (El Paraiso de Sandra), Sandra's Paradise" on a young Colombian girl, directed by Marianne Roussy.In 2008 Steve Moreau published his first novel Dos a la mer (Editions de L'Harmattan), which was soon followed by three other ones Fin de Bobine, Le Sexe, Mon Ami, Un Homme Lucide (Editions de L'Harmattan, 2009, 2010, 2011).He released a book-length interview with champion rower, Sébastien Lefebvre, Au Revoir Gamin (Editions François-Xavier de Guibert, 2012) and a work on a book about the creator of cinema Entreprendre comme les freres Lumiere by Anne Vermes (Editions Eyrolles 2013).In the recent years, alongside his activities as a writer, he also directed many corporate films for leading companies.The Sea Behind Me, his first long feature film that he adapted from his first novel Dos a la mer.
