Sooraj Sukumar Nair was born on Aug 23, 1988 in India. Sooraj Sukumar Nair's big-screen debut came with Bavuttiyude Namathil directed by G.S. Vijayan in 2012, strarring Bavutti childhood friend.

Sooraj Sukumar Nair is an Indian actor, filmmaker and producer based in Kerala. He started with acting in the television series Malakhamar (2012) directed by G.S. Vijayan that was aired on Mazhavil Manorama in 2012. That also marked his debut as an assistant director. Six Pack, a short film he produced in 2013, was a first of its kind to get a television preview in Malayalam. Sooraj Sukumar Nair was born to Sukumaran Nair and P. Radha Devi in Thiruvananthapuram. He holds bachelors in engineering. He is married to Gopika V.B. Nair, a renowned Makeup Artist in Thiruvananthapuram. They have a daughter, Aaradhya G.S. Nair. An engineering grad, Sooraj started his career as a software professional in Technopark. Managing the job in one hand, he made his acting debut in the tele-serial Malakhamar in Mazhavil Manorama, directed by G.S. Vijayan in 2012. He also played the role of assistant to the director. The acting stint continued in Malayalam short films News (2013) and Experiments Going On (2016). Cine actress Mahalakshmi was paired opposite him in News. Under his direction came Along this Way (2013), a short film. As a producer, he made Six Pack (2013), the first short film in Malayalam to get a television preview. He scripted and directed the short movie Otta Oruthikalum Sheriyalla in 2014. Music albums made way to Sooraj's oeuvre in 2016. Anamika 1 (2016), Mukile (2016), Anamika 2 (2017), and Nin Karunayal (2017) figure in the list of music videos. Sooraj assisted Sujith S. Nair in the upcoming movie Vaakku and acted his debut character in the film itself. Then he announced a movie named B Nilavarayum Sharjapalliyum in 2017 which is the come back of Jagathy Sreekumar along with Aju Varghese and So many artists. The film was postponed to 2020 due to flood in Kerala. Later he acted in Varkey as character name Jevin directed by Adarsh Venugopalan starring Samad Sulaiman.
