Shashank Sharma was born in Sharjah United Arab Emirates to Indian parents.He did his schooling in Dubai and then moved to England to study Film at Lancaster University. In university he became deeply involved in the performing arts, acting in student films and performing for the salsa society and theatre group.After graduating Shashank moved to India to work in theatre under the tutelage of veteran stage director Feisal Alkazi.Shashank is blind/low vision by birth and has been training under acting coach Rishi Mehta to portray fully sighted characters for the screen and stage.
