Shareef McIntosh was born in Germany on an army base. Where his father was stationed. He grew up in Long Island, New York. Shareef has a B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Old Westbury and always had a passion for film. He began writing screenplays about 6 years ago and recently became addicted to the short film format. He has completed 8 short films. He first acted in an student film called Violet Is Blue, which was his acting debut. Shareef never went to school for directing, he worked at Blockbuster Video for 5 years and at Cineplex Odeon Movie theater for 5 years. There he learned everything he knows about movies. He also learned from working with friends and colleagues on films who had gone to school for film.Shareef has acted in independent feature films for the past 5 years. He has also appeared in plays on off-off-Broadway.
