The multi-talented animator Serge Elissalde was born on July 30th, 1962 in Besancon where his parents were both teachers, and he began drawing at the precocious age of 3. After studying graphic arts in his hometown he became a teacher himself, but abandoned that career after just two years to pursue first magazine cover illustrations in Paris and eventually filmmaking where he assembled his own team after making his first short, The Chimneysweeper, entirely on his own.He also published a novel, "L'Enfant Sur La Digue, " in 2013.
